With James Bamford at the helm, fans should probably expect one of the most action-packed episodes of the year next week as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) finds himself right smack dab in the center of a massive prison riot that will likely have disastrous consequences and could potentially cost him everyone he cares about.

While the synopsis is intentionally vague, the preview does tease a brutal showdown between the incarcerated Emerald Archer and Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo).

The flashforwards this time were the best part of the episode and where the meat of the content was, quite a lot was shared from Roy revealing to Dinah that the note that was inside Oliver's bow was of something called "The Mark of Four" and she also being aware of it is another mystery in the future. Whatever it was it was heavy for them to want to keep it just between them.

Seeing Roy shoot at those tennis balls holograms to deactive the security was a good call back to S1.

And Felicity in the future died (?) a "few weeks ago" but not before sending a message to William to check out that map where she, as the new Calculator who cut connections with everyone, blew up all of the city ala The Undertaking and the last contact she made before her "death" was with someone named Blackstar. I'm betting it might turn out to be Katherine McNamara's character for now. No biggie in future Star City, all cool.

As for the present it just pretty much told how she is being encouraged to embrace her demons by Anatoly if she really wants to kill Diaz. That's all she thinks about, I am sure that if he were to die she'd feel without purpose at this point, it's become an obsession that she's willing to let anyone die (see Anatoly earlier) and came pretty close to finally killing him at the end hadn't it been for Black Siren bringing the news of the deal to trade him for Oliver. I'm sure by this point that the future story is meant to portray her fall from grace at this point. Diggle might even be forced to intervine next time and with full ARGUS staff.

Diaz took a serum couple of weeks ago to increase his strength and all and still lost to the New GA. He should've lifted more.

Longbow Hunters just ditching him after he was KO was odd, but it must be part of a larger plan. He ain't DeVoe but when he plans ahead he plans ahead so I'll give him that. But also, the opening with him torturing Anatoly and forging something on his skin, that went nowhere, at least for now.

I did like this scene however.

Oliver was little compared to last time but the cat's finally out of the bag and out of all things that could be predictable his fellow convict bro Stanley was shady after all. Question is how he framed Bronze Tiger and who does he work for. It's funny how he as a prisoner and a former villain like Black Siren walked more closely the path of good than Felicity though.

Next week seems to be the highlight and proper end of the prison arc.

I wish they put Ollie and Laurel together. They have more chemistry than him and Felicity and they were talking through a phone with a piece of glass between them.

I just can't understand the idea behind giving Felicity double the screen time this season. It's sickening. She is the worst thing about the show...it's infuriating.

I don't think the Mark of Four is reference to anything in the comics. Could it be a loose reference to the Sign of Four (a Sherlocke Holmes novel). The plot involved a stolen treasure, a secret pact among 4 convicts, and two corrupt prison guards. We have 4 convicts that might have a secret pact (Brick, Bronze Tiger, Stanley, and the wrestler guy)... and there are corrupt guards. This is intruiging.
