Why is her name Laurel? What possible reason is there for such a mundane change? She's Dinah.

Oh wow, I almost forgot about this show. I'll be tuning in Oct. 10th.

Why are they using her middle name as her first name? Why not just Dinah Lance?

I hope Katie Cassidy eventually suits up as Black Canary. She would kick ass!

i watched the pilot at FanExpo Canada. was complete crap.
but, i'm a sucker for anything comic-book-related, so i'll probably still watch the show.
i'll give anyone $10 if they can watch the pilot episode without thinking of either Batman Begins or TDK

No interest in this show. I wish they had gone with the Deadman or Raven series instead.

Ouch. ^^ Smallville lasted as long as it did not only because of the fans but because of its creativity and how true it was to the comics... some areas more than others such as season four, which was the worst in the series. Smallville even today remains my favorite television show ever with LOST and Heroes following close. Hoping "Arrow" is able to earn a spot on that list with hopefully more than one season. Networks seem to give up on shows too easily (The Cape, No Ordinary Family). And it's always when things are picking up speed, getting interesting.

@PeterParker1991 The Cape was pretty bad, but I loved No Ordinary Family.
