Meet The Small Screen 'Ra's al Ghul' In A Clip From Last Night's Episode Of ARROW

"Oliver Queen courts war with us..." The final moments of last night's Arrow saw the small screen debut of Ra's al Ghul (Riddick's Matt Nable), and in case you missed it, it can be watched right here! How does it differ to the comics and Batman Begins? Quite a bit!

The first few episodes of Arrow have revolved around [WARNING: Spoilers Ahead] the murder of Sara Lance, but the third season finally seems to be coming together in a more cohesive direction with the debut of this year's big bad, Ra's al Ghul. Last night's episode saw the iconic Batman villain make his small screen debut and he can be seen in the video below. There are similarities to the comic books for sure, and very few with Batman Begins from what we can see here, but the Arrow team have definitely come up with something slightly different from the looks of things.

NYSSA RETURNS TO STARLING CITY, RA’S AL GHUL MAKES HIS ENTRANCE — A furious Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) confronts Oliver (Stephen Amell) about Sara. When Oliver learns Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) is alive, he suspects Merlyn killed Sara. Oliver and Nyssa join forces and go after the Dark Archer, intent on bringing Sara’s killer to justice. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) keeps her distance from Nyssa, as she blames her sister’s death on her involvement with the League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Oliver and Roy (Colton Haynes) work on repairing their respective relationships with Thea (Willa Holland), who has returned home. Nyssa discusses Oliver with her father, Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable). John Behring directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Marc Guggenheim.

I like the look and the voice a lot, but the face is definitely off. I will hold off judgement for now, but it seems like we will have to wait to episode 9 to see him again.

But is Ra's al Ghul immortal? Are his methods supernatural?

Or cheap parlor tricks to conceal your true identity, "Ra's"?

He sounds Australian. Definitely underwhelming in terms of presence thus far, but unfair to judge to harshly based on 3 seconds of face time.

I dont know what you guys are talking about, sure he's a little too white, but besides that pretty great sign of what's to come.

They said no to Liam Neeson. LIAM NEESON. They didn't bother trying to talk to Oded Fehr even though he could have pulled off the part brilliantly. Instead, they picked the guy from Sons of Anarchy and this was our first impression of him...

I REALLY hope he can do better than this

Meh! It comes nowhere close to the grand ending of The Last Airbender.

I saw it in theaters and everyone clapped and cheered during that scene. Its too bad there was never a sequel . It could have been this generation's Harry Potter. #YouWannaGoPenguinSlidingWithMe

A rare miss for Arrow, don't like this version of Ra's. Doesn't seem like he has the presence to play him.
