Will It Be *SPOILER* Who Rescues Oliver From His Current Predicament On ARROW?

A new interview that was conducted prior to the airing of Wednesday night's mid-season finale of Arrow has surfaced featuring someone unexpected suggesting that he or she may have shot a key scene that was ultimately left out of the episode... come check it out!

Last Wednesday's mid-season finale of Arrow was one of the season's stronger episodes, thanks in no small part to an epic fight scene in the final five minutes that was arguably some of the best work the show has ever done. The aforementioned scene, which you can relive by clicking HERE, was of course the fight between Oliver Queen and the Demon's Head, Ra's al Ghul. The episode ended shortly thereafter and we were left with a brief teaser that showed a presumed dead Oliver on the side of a mountain with a mysterious figure approaching him. Who could that myserious person be?

Well, if the following interview is anything to consider, it could be someone totally unexpected. Take a look for yourself below!

Well, how about that? It looks like John Barrowman was also on the mountain with Stephen Amell, Matt Nable, Katrina Law, and Karl Yune when they were shooting episode nine. Obviously, Barrowman's scenes were cut... or were they just pushed to episode ten?

Could the nefarious Malcolm Merlyn be the mysterious set of feet that approaches Oliver in the brief teaser? Does this mean that the man who was more or less directly responsible for the deaths of both Oliver & Sara be the one who ultimately rescues the fallen Queen? If so, what exactly does the dastardly villain have in store for the Arrow? And/or for Ra's al Ghul?

Sound off with your thoughts below!

In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen — not as long as the city needs The Arrow.

Arrow features:
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak
David Ramsey as John Diggle
Willa Holland as Thea Queen
Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance
Colton Haynes as Roy Harper/Arsenal
Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance
John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer
Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom
Karl Yune as Maseo Yamashiro/Phantom
Rila Fukushima as Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana
Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul
Matt Nable as Ra's al Ghul

It has to be Maseo that goes to his body, then takes him to the Lazarus Pit.

If its Malcolm Merlyn or any other villain that saves him then 'called it', its a trope thats been done before several times in Batman. In truth its gotten to the stage where Arrow is literally the Batman of the DC TV universe.

And you've only figured this out now? What's next? Flash is the Superman of the DC TV Universe?

Merlyn is such a badass in Arrow......

I also loved how he schooled Oliver in Season 1!

why would it make sense for merlyn to save him? merlyn basically sentenced him to death

"And you've only figured this out now? What's next? Flash is the Superman of the DC TV Universe?"

I figured it out ages ago, just pointing out how generic it is to rehash the same trope over and over and over again. Its made the show predictable. The first season it worked to an extent because he wasnt facing off against a Batman villain. The same with Flash not facing a Superman villain. Yet now it is just copying a prior Batman storyline that was already adapted for Arkham City which is still fresh in people's minds. Its just disappointing as someone who was a fan of the character during the first series to see him now being fully converted to another Batman clone character :L

It'll be Nyssa that takes Oliver to the Lazarus Pit. She knows he didn't kill Sara and if anyone else were to help him, Ra's would kill them.

While I think the Ras mustache is do-able, anyone thinking his hair can be done in live action and not look stupid as hell is deluding themselves.

If he brings Oliver to the Lazarus Pit, hopefully he did the same to his son. Bringing back Tommy would be cool. Plus if Tommy comes back so too will Sara then and I would be fine with that.

Everyone keeps saying Lazarus Pit, and I guess it's a reasonable expectation given Ra's history. (Convenient how you can use his name as possessive without the apostrophe.) But each season so far has had its own way of resurrecting the dead: Merlyn's, whatever that may be, and Slade's Mirakuru.

I REALLY hoped this spoiler was @aquaman1982 's theory that Oliver's rescuer is a former member of the League of Shadows by the name of Bruce.

Very cool. Merlin saves and brainwashes Ollie then turns him into a super assassin and together they try to take down the Demon's Head. That would be a killer end to season three. The green arrow versus team arrow. The season cliffhanger would be Laura Lance becoming the Canary and Thea teaming up with Arsenal and finally Amanda Waller assembling a suicide squad led by Harley Quinn to kill the Green Arrow.

DCtv universe's Bruce Wayne/Batman:

He got his start on the CW network, well the WB network, but still might be willing to return where it started to cameo as Bruce Wayne/Batman to save Oliver from his former trainer and mentor Ra's.

Well, I hate to burst the bubbles of some of you guys, but Geoff Johns said a while back that, not only are they going keep the tv and movie universes of DC separate, he also said that the tv universe WILL NOT feature the big names of Batman (or even Superman), wanting to focus on the lesser known characters. It's true. Type it up on google and check every result on the front page so you can get every angle of the story.

A Bruce Wayne cameo would be cool, if they did it where he saves Oliver but the only nane he tells you is his League name: "The Bat."

If the cameo is small I'm ok with it, but I firmly believe that this show in no way needs batman in it. Even when barry Allen was on the show the episodes still furthered Oliver's story and character. I feel like if batmam is included, no matter how hard they try, people won't still focus on oliver
