SAS: Red Notice is set to be released in the U.S. on March 16th, and arrives in the UK on March 12th where it will premiere on Sky Cinema.
Based on Andy McNab's book of the same name, the action-packed thriller follows Tom Buckingham (Sam Heughan), a suspended special forces operator who finds himself taking on heavily armed mercenaries on a train deep inside the Channel Tunnel when it's attacked by Grace Lewis (Ruby Rose) and her team as they declare economic war on the British government.
The movie is an absolute blast, and Rose shines as the lead villain. She's no stranger to playing a hero after Batwoman, of course, but left The CW series after just a single season. That was reportedly down to the hectic production schedule and on-set injuries, but would she be open to another comic book movie role in the DC or Marvel Universes?
We asked exactly that, and Rose expressed enthusiasm for one day making her return to the genre.
"Absolutely. Look, playing a superhero is a dream. It's so much fun. Of course I would. I'd play a superhero, I'd play a villain," Rose tells us in the video above. "There's a lot of things I'd like to do. There was something very special about playing Batwoman and Kate Kane, and introducing her to the world, helping inspire a bunch of kids which is Javicia [Leslie] is doing right now. It's such a beautiful thing to be able to watch. Any roles that challenge you in a particular way or have a bigger greater meaning or great story behind them I love, and really react and respond to that material."
Rose is no stranger to action franchises after starring in movies like John Wick, Resident Evil, and SAS: Red Notice, so it seems inevitable that she'll one day get the opportunity to tackle another comic book role. What that will be remains to be seen, but we'd love to hear some of your suggestions below!
