On the heels of the Dark Knight Rises-inspired penultimate episode of Gotham, we have a promo for next Thursday's series finale, and it leans heavily into Batman mythology while giving us a couple of brief glimpses of Bruce Wayne suited-up as The Caped Crusader.

Most (if not all) of the episode will take place after a flash-forward, with Bruce returning to Gotham 10 years after the events of tonight's installment to help Jim Gordon take down the likes of The Riddler and The Penguin, who have now risen to the heights of their power and officially assumed their supervillain identities. An older Selina Kyle/Catwoman will also appear, but we're not sure she'll a friend or foe of The Bat.

Check out the promo for "The Beginning" below, which also gives us a first listen to this take on the iconic DC hero's voice.

The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs in the all-new ‘The Beginning…’ series finale episode of Gotham.

Tell us, what did you think of tonight's episode of Gotham, and what do you think is going to happen in the series finale?
