This show is coming out swinging and hitting like the Cowboys!

That was damn good, each episode just gets better and better.

Did anyone else see Arkham Asylum? It looked perfect! Almost a spitting image of the comic incarnation!

EASTER EGG: The song the girl was singing was "Spellbound" by Siouxsie And The Banshees. The Banshees are an iconic goth band who just so happened to have created the song "Face To Face", which was featured in Tim Burton's Batman Returns (1992).

Not a bad episode tonight, but I felt that it didn't really do much in story progression.

But dat Fish Mooney seduction tho...

The Cowboys should get better on defense when D-Law, Brent, and Carter come back.

Man oh man, I must be watching a different show than you guys...oh well, that's what makes the world (cbm) go 'round...really though, Gordon walking out the front f.uckin' door (not even peeking out of it first) with the mayor, knowing an assassin is either already there or on the way, come on now, that was terrible...the fight choreography is brutal too...I still like the Penguin, so holding on to hope for it to turn around, for me that is...

batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:17 PM
I still love the premise of Gotham and Gordon, etc., but so far, other than the pilot, just hasn't hit with me...I guess I was hoping for something different, I'll still watch though, AoS turned itself around, so...

batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:28 PM
Ha, ha...good one sof
I really like DC too, but the show sucks, that's all ;)
batz11
batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:29 PM
Yes, the beginning was surprisingly brutal, good start...

batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:31 PM
I love the MCU, sure, but I also loved MoS and stuck up for it more on this site than many, many people...MoS was one of my favorite cbms that year, but I just don't like the tone of Gotham so far, the balloon killer kinda put me over the edge, after the way over-the-top kidnappers...oh well, like I said, I'll still watch and support it, like I do all cbms and cbtv...
batz11
batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:37 PM
I just didn't care for this episode, the killer was fine, cool...but an assassin who uses the front door of the mayor's residence, then, the hero cop trying to escort the mayor out the front door knowing an assassin was lurking, wtf? stuff like that was really sloppy...I think the show will get much better, the Penguin has been great and love seeing him develop...I'm glad so many like or love it, I'm just not one of them, yet, but like I said, I'll continue to support it...
batz11
batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:39 PM
yeah, the lesbian story-line(s) too, shock value? really, they aren't adding much...except to my wiener growth, haha

batz11
batz11 - 10/13/2014, 7:43 PM
...and you should know by now, I NEVER troll on this site, I usually keep it light and all, but I feel really disappointed in the show so far, that's all I'm saying...I'm glad my buds on here love the show, but just feel strongly that it could be so much better, I think it will get it's legs, at least I'm hoping so...

@batz11

I just think people like what they like and don't like it when other people feel differently. That's fine.It turns into trolling when they say that the thing I like is stupid and I'm stupid for liking it. If that makes sense.

I get where you're coming from though. I'm enjoying the show for what it is rather than what it could have been. It's watchable and even good at times imo. They've given themselves a lot of room to grow, so that's good.

batz11 - 10/13/2014, 8:08 PM
@Dingbat
yep, I totally get that too, I stick up for things I like too, but I also respect others opinions and likes/dislikes...like I said, it's what makes this site so much fun, haha...

I don't usually nitpick either, I take these shows and movies for what they are, and you must have suspension of disbelief, but guess I was thinking Gotham would be more like the crime dramas on tv, CSI, NCIS, etc...more intelligently written...but I'll wait to pass final judgment, at least until after S1...

LOVIN' IT
batz11
batz11 - 10/13/2014, 8:30 PM
I totally agree with you...like I said, you do have to look at the show with some disbelief...Arrow is one of my favs, but that dude can dodge bullets like the Flash, ha,ha...I think Gotham could turn great, been saying that all along, just the last few eps didn't hit it off with me, that's all I'm saying...glad others love it...
Dingbat
Dingbat - 10/13/2014, 8:46 PM
@batz11

I was hoping for a Gotham Central type show tbh. No Bruce, No Bat villains, just Gordon and his team with the occasional easter egg. Also I hoped for a mustache and glasses.

@batz11 I'm trying to stick with this show for the first season, but it's not easy lol.

I just haven't been impressed by it so far. Also, the cheesiness of this show makes it hard to get into it. It should be more gritty and serious.
