Gordon and Bullock search for the source of a new street drug that causes euphoria then death. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot works his way deeper into Maroni's (guest-star David Zayas) inner circle and Fish Mooney continues to plot against Falcone in the all-new "Viper" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Oct. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-105) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)

Cast: Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen, John Doman as Carmine Falcone

Guest Cast: Daniel London as Stan Potolsky; Kett Turton as Busker; Genevieve Hudson-Price as Charmagne; Peter Maloney as Isaac Steiner; Margaret Colin as Taylor Reece; David Zayas as Maroni; Jeremy Davidson as Nikolai; Danny Mastrogiorgio as Frankie Carbone; Mackenzie Leigh as Liza

That drug more than likely has no connection to Arrow, but it's fun to speculate! Either way, this sounds like a great episode and it's interesting to see how much of a focus they're putting on Penguin's journey this season. This show rocks! They do need to fix some of the dialogue and acting and then it will be perfect. Oh yeah it is great that it is holding its own on Monday nights............

This show will have no connection whatsoever to Arrow.

They could have had a more realistic approach rather than "ingest/inhale and die"

my only gripe with the show is the bitch who plays Barbara. I feel like they didn't even have a casting for that role. They were like just get a typical blonde blue eyed woman with long hair and who is "attractive" in for the part, no effort at all. they dropped the ball with that one and it shows in her performance.

Drugs are bad, but they can be fun too. Moderation.

@ MuppetToucher

Really? Please look at Fringe and Sleepy Hollow..........do some research. Also did you look at the latest rating for AOS......ouch they did the same as the new Selfie pilot!

I think there's an Arrow connection possibly

If they aren't connected then they are straight ripping off arrow first season at every damn turn. I will watch, as I've watched the first few episodes. But the Penguin storyline and the "who killed the Waynes" saved an otherwise boring 2nd episode.

Nolan has changed things, forever.

Awesome show.

@NoPhucksGiven

I agree about Barbara. Initially, she's like some young, [foo foo], bitch. Almost played as a secret villain. I backed off her a little when she put Gordon in his place with some wise advice. Don't know the dialog exactly, but it was more supporting than the "hot-chick"-at-home vibe original given.

Would be sweet if this drug is related to the new person playing Count Vertigo in Arrow season 3. Someone could play a younger version of him, or even the actor himself in Arrow could (can't remember his name). A little make up and movie magic and voila, he looks younger. Not to mention it will establish that Arrow and Gotham are in the same universe. Just that Gotham is set years before Arrow.

@Haters- Do i think Gotham will get cancelled? no but I also heard it was already going to netflix before this season ever aired. And AOS still gets double the viewership of Arrow and they get a crazy jump from On Demand and Hulu. It's also winning it's timeslot still. Calm down kiddos. There is room for all the comic book shows.

You know how Oswald always gets mad when people call him Penguin? What it Marty McFly grows up to be a supervillain named "The Chicken"

The new drug is going to be connected to the future joker, but the creator of the drug will be connected to the joker and the scarecrow(maybe even the scarecrow creates) or was created and Langstrom(man bat) with this drug being created having effects of the jokers toxins and the antidote being the base for the scarecrow's toxin because it has a reverse effect.
