It's been previously hinted that Fish Mooney may be less dead than we previously thought and now a report has confirmed that Jada Pinkett Smith will indeed return later this season.

TV Line is reporting that Jada Pinkett Smith, who played the villainous Fish Mooney on the first season of Fox's superhero prequel drama Gotham, has signed on to reprise the role for a multi-episode arc during the latter half of the ongoing second season.

Details surrounding the circumstances of her return are being kept under wraps, but there's fairly decent chance her return will be tied to the strange experients Dr. Hugo Strange and his team are conducting over at Indian Hill.

What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual spot.

Gotham returns on Monday, Feb. 29.

Not exactly pleased with this info. I was really enjoying this season so far too. Not that this will be a death sentence for the show by any means, but I just didn't care for her character.

As long as she doesn't expect to be nominated for an Oscar we're good...

I hope it is only a flashback, because the show has been better without the stinking fish.

Her performance was great. I seriously don't know what all the hate is about. Probably just Smith family generic hate going around.

The producers didn't initially want to bring Fish back but Jada cried racism and here we are. That's what I hear.

Soon Jaden Smith will be Robin in the DCEU or Warner Bros. is racist. Mark my words!

As I said before: the second Fish returns to the show I'll leave it behind. Pity, really. :(

I realized early on this season that I enjoyed it more because she was gone. The only scene I really liked her in last season was when she went psycho and gauged out her eyeball. Not being a smart ass...I just thought that scene was really well done.
