Penguin Is "Alive & Well" In New GOTHAM Featurette

For me, the best thing about Fox's new television series Gotham is Robin Lord Taylor ("Accepted"). His portrayal of Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin) is very entertaining. Come check out this new "Alive & Well" featurette focusing on him.

Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie ("Southland," "The O.C."), Donal Logue ("Sons of Anarchy," "Terriers," "Vikings," "Copper") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("The Matrix" films, "HawthoRNe"), GOTHAM follows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Executive producer Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the "CSI" franchise, "Nikita"). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.

People never talk about the main character Jim Gordon Well never in that much of a good way. But, I think Ben McKenzie does a decent job. I could see him becoming the Commissioner.

I'm hooked on the show now. It does bug me that Penguin had the nickname "penguin" for no reason from the get go though. They could've easily given him the nickname after he started walking funny after his injury. Ehh whatever, some things are gonna suck a little no matter what....just like Gusto's mom.

I agree. I am also enjoying watching the rise of the penguin. I imagine that is how the show will keep going, by showing us the rise of another of Gotham's notorious villains, one after another.
