LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Come Check Out The New Extended Promo For Season 2, Episode 16: "Doomworld"

Well, the Legion of Doom succeeded in rewriting reality, and now it's up to the villain-turned-Legend Mick to save the day. Check out a new extended promo for the penultimate episode of season two now!

We've known for a few weeks now that Doomworld was coming, but it's doubtful many fans expected it to happen like this as last night's episode saw the fan-favorite Mick Rory betray his teammates by handing over the Spear of Destiny to the Legion of Doom.

A lot of different things factored into his surprising decision, with, of course, the return of Captain Cold playing a big part in Heatwave returning to his roots. Now, some fault should also be attributed to his Legend teammates, who even after his lengthy journey to becoming a hero, continued to undermine his progress. Following the episode, star Brandon Routh elaborated on Ray & Mick's mindset heading into next week, “I think he (Ray) feels betrayed, but I think he feels bad because there’s a conversation that happens in [this] episode where we showed our lack of trust in him (Mick) still after all this journey that he’s made, and I think that pushes him over the edge. I would say, if anything, Ray would probably feel guilty for not having spoken up and been more vocal and saying, ‘Hey, I trust you.'

However, before we get ahead of ourselves, it looks like Mick's decision will be one he comes to immediately regret as the latest promo features Rory rushing across the world, reassembling his former friends, save for Sara & Amaya, who have all fallen on hard times in this new reality. As for the two female members of the team, they seem to be running point as the Legion's very dangerous co-heads of security.

Come check out the new extended promo for episode sixteen, titled "Doomworld," below:

"Doomworld" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

BETRAYALS - After obtaining the Spear of Destiny, the Legion of Doom rewrites reality, leaving the Legends changed, perhaps forever. Frightfully, the Legends' and the world's hopes rest with Rory (Dominic Purcell), but being the "hero" is not easy for him. Meanwhile, there is tension within the Legion of Doom and the reason why the Spear of Destiny needs to be destroyed is revealed. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Sarah Hernandez (#216). Original airdate 3/28/2017.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom

Legends of Tomorrow has been killing it this season. I love when the focus is on Mick. He's an underrated character and has great chemistry with everyone.

@KingPatel - He truly is. Mick may not be the smartest, but he is the most interesting. Mick's got some real internal struggles that play out well and it's always great to see that. Especially in tonight's episode.

The Legends need a full on prick as an addition for season 3. Mick and Snart have always been somewhat good, sometimes reverting to their thief ways, but never really bad.

Midnighter would be perfect for the Legends. He's an interesting character, brutal, and he can hold his own against some of the best fighters in the DC universe.

@Kr08 - to replace one of them, John Constantine would be perfect

@Kr08 - they should add Adam Strange

@dracula - John would be great. They just can't use him because of the upcoming Dark Universe. It's why the Suicide Squad was killed off on Arrow and why Superman doesn't show up anymore on Supergirl.

@Kr08 - from what ive heard, now that Geoff Johns has taken over both films and tv shows, they are more open to characters appearing in both tv and film. that's why Superman was able to appear and from what ive heard he might be coming back soon. Also I think it depends how they use the characters, like this season Deadshot showed up, Diggle was seeing him in his head and they talked. Deathstroke appeared in the crossover.

@dracula - You would think so, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Johns' sole focus is on the DC films and the comics.

Apparently, the writers, inkers, and pencilers for the comics were told not to watch the shows. Juan Ferreyra, the artist for Green Arrow Rebirth, said on Twitter that they were told not to watch Arrow. Geoff also hasn't worked with any of the TV shows in a long time. He usually spent a lot of time on The Flash.

im guessing the characters that will leave the team this season will be Heatwave and Martin Stein. Even If Heatwave realizes his mistake and fixes it, it is still a big mistake, and will the team be able to forgive him, plus with Captain Cold back, and next season of the Flash not having a speedster villain, it would be a good idea to make Captain Cold the big bad, and have him fully form the Rogues. Stein has a daughter now, and im sure he wants to spend more time with her, plus they have mentioned this season that Stein is old, and at some point Jax is going to have to learn to stand without him, so Jax would probably get a new parter, maybe Gehenna Hewitt or Madison Payne

Props to the showrunners for turning this series around, this season has been excellent and last night may have been one of the better episodes of the series. Thoroughly enjoying this season and it without question the best CW verse show.

I love this show, but I'm kind of hoping Mic stays bad. Seems too obvious he'd turn and help save the day at the end.
