New Extended Promo For LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 2 Episode 8: "The Chicago Way”

The four-part crossover event may be done, but that doesn't mean the Legends are going to get a break from taking on villains previously defeated by the Scarlet Speedster and the Emerald Archer.

However, taking them down one at a time is one thing, but taking them down when they've come together as cohesive unit is a whole different ballgame. Plus, Wentworth Miller makes his long-awaited return as Captain Cold and it sends Rory on a bit of a tailspin.

Check out the extended promo for the midseason finale, titled "The Chicago Way," below:

"The Chicago Way" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

LEGION OF DOOM - When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest start John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it. Brandon Routh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Sarah Nicole Jones & Ray Utarnachitt (#208). Original airdate 12/8/2016.

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time.

Nate must find a way to rescue season one’s beloved team of heroes and rogues, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a career criminal. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms – the fate of former captain Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Arthur Darvil as Captain Rip Hunter
Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen
Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel
Matt Letscher as Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash

I've been meaning to sit down and catch up on this show. But Westworld has me all f*cked up.

Also, Gusto always hogs the remote to watch HBO's Girls.

Good crossover, but i wish it had some consequences...
Especially from Arrow's 100th episode, i mean, why is Talia about to show up in the next few episodes? I thought it was related to the crossover/100th episode...
We'll see...

Love this show, but why do they visit such boring times in history?
Do they write their scripts based on what 20th century handmedowns the costume department can find that week?

I want to see cavemen. Dinosaurs. Aztecs. Atlantis. The Roman Empire.

@rabid - You do know the big reason they won't be using Atlantis, right? Well, besides the obvious one about not able to prove its existence OR its location. Think about it, you'll figure out why going there would be a huge disappointment.

@GAThrawnIGF - Arion was adventuring Atlantis before it sank into the ocean. They could totally afford to film Atlantis if they travel back far enough.

Nice to see that even multi-dimensional time travel alien invasion stories are ultimately based on Barry's lack of responsibility...

But yeah, crossover was more fun than not. I'll be back for the musical.

Sounds like they're going to run into the real Scarface.

The crossover was good, but I wish they had delivered more on their promise of 4 episodes.

Supergirl barely even focused on the crossover and Arrow was doing a juggling act between the crossover and their 100th anniversary special.

Unfortunately it looks like Cold is going to be appearing as a dream sequence or hallucination. Anyways, seeing him back in any capacity is cool (no pun intended).
