Despite being sidelined just a tad this past week, it looks like the Martian Manhunter is gearing up for a pretty major storyline in the coming weeks as star David Harewood, who plays The Last Martian on the CW's hit series Supergirl, has just released a new poster for the show featuring himself and Melissa Benoist's titular heroine flying high with a caption that simply reads: "The Marian Chronicles. Coming soon.

The caption is referring to the upcoming eleventh episode of season two, which will see Kara & J'onn team-up against a deadly White Martian, who has arrived in National City looking to reclaim M'gann. The episode will air the day after the Super Bowl, on Monday, February 6th (when you'll all hopefully be celebrating a Patriots victory).

Check out the new poster below:

@ElJefe - I hope its good, i'm not too familiar with the character other than apparently him having an insanely epic origin that i sadly expect will be altered for Netflix.

I really hope they add Ma'alefa'ak to the show soon and then we can see the hate between the Martian brothers.

@BlackIceJoe - Agreed, especially since this Season has been trying to bring up or challenge the stereotypes that are usually associated with characters. Kara learns from Mon-El and Lena that not all Daxamites and Luthors are bad and J'onn will learn that not all the White Martian are evil with M'gann.

So it'd be fitting that they introduce Ma'alefa'ak to turn around it all upside down, showing how not all Green Martians were pacific beings. And it'd be fun to see an evil Green Martian that doesn't hold back, without mentioning that he could shapeshift into anyone.

@NinnesMBC - Very well said. If they even wanted they could show that the reason the Green Martians were very easy to enslave was because of J'onn's brother too. That would make the dynamic between the brothers even more fun to watch.

@BlackIceJoe - Yes, I believe in many iterations it turns out that it was all because of him, someway, somehow, he set it all up so that the White Martians could annihilate the Green Martians.

I'm hoping either he is introduced in the final moments of the 11th ep where a White Martian suddenly shows up wanting to bring back M'gann to Mars for her treason or maybe he is hinted by Armek (the White Martian bad guy) or we just get any clue that teases him.

In any case whether it is now or in the future I hope they can have plans to bring Ma'alefa'ak.

Awesome poster, Martian Manhunter looks badass.

The 11th episode must be a good one, just like last year's White Martian episode ended up proving it.

Villain's gonna be Armek, I'm hoping they made him shapeshift into his real form from the comics for the episode's final battle since the synopsis put emphasis on his shapeshifting abilities.

What the heck. Where is the top quarter of this poster? It's like the top got cropped. I don't like vertically challenged posters.

As a long time fan of M. Night Shyamalan, knowing what he can be capable of....SPLIT blew my mind.
Will not say anything more but I will say that being familiar with Shyamalan's past films will make this film even more amazing for you! (One in particular....But saying that would be quite the spoiler in itself)
But HOLY CRAP....Shyamalan is back with a bang!
