When the President is attacked, the nation is put on high alert and when all signs point to the recently escaped Mon-El, Kara races to find him before all hell breaks loose in National City. However, based on the new extended trailer, it looks like someone the DEO didn't count on may be behind the attack, and she could have some deep ties to the Martian Manhunter.

Check out the promo below and be sure to stay till the end where we catch a brief glimpse of what might quite possibly be Sharon Beal as Miss Martian:

“Welcome to Earth”— (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

LYNDA CARTER (“WONDER WOMAN”) LANDS IN NATIONAL CITY AS PRESIDENT OLIVIA MARSDIN — An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault. Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Jessica Queller and Derek Simon (#203). Original airdate 10/24/2016.

The hour-long drama centers on Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

@HerculesJones - he's a Daxamite, which is an offshoot race of Kryptonians. He's a famous Legionaire too. He's not hurt by Kryptonite, but his weakness is lead.

Seems like they're making him Kryptonian here for some reason.

In the Legion of SuperHeroes volume 4 storyline, "Lar Gand would enjoy a heroic career in the 20th century as Valor, stopping a second Dominator-led invasion of Earth, freeing thousands of humans who had been experimented on by the Dominators and seeding them on a series of worlds between Dominion space and Earth as a "buffer zone" to prevent future invasions."

I think he's going to tie into the Dominator CW team-up event somehow.
