Nicole Maines' Nia Nal has been a fixture of Supergirl since her debut in the season 4 premiere, but we're only now getting to see how she'll look in full costume as pre-cognitive superhero, Dreamer.

The character will suit-up in the January 27th episode “Blood Memories,” which will also introduce Nia’s family and reveal the origin of her powers.

"Her mother, played by the magnificent Kate Burton, has been Dreamer," explains executive producer Jessica Queller, adding that the Nals "come from a town that is very liberal and progressive... it's been a safe haven for aliens, so that is gonna be a lovely respite from all of the intensity we have been seeing in National City."

What do you guys make of this first look at Dreamer? Drop us a comment down below, and be sure to tune in for a brand new episode of Supergirl this Sunday at 8/7c on The CW.

I take it this means she'll develop more powers than precognitive sleeping seeing as it looks like she'll be out in the field.

I've never watched this... is the character supposed to be transgender too or is it just the actress that plays her?

I like it, it is better appreciated now than in the sneak peak from two days ago. The mask does stand out because compared to other superheroes they don't wear them, so the fact she is using one makes me think she wants to keep her family and loved ones safe from any harm so she will conceal her identity, kinda like Jimmy. Does that make her a hero or a vigilante though?

I don't notice a Legion ring either. We'll see.

BTW she will suit up for real in the 17th of February for the 12th episode.

"Maines will fully suit up as the superhero Dreamer in the episode “Menagerie,” which airs Feb. 17".

I wonder if by the end of the Season Nia will leave behind the mask or if she will keep it.

Looks good. Supergirl should have something like that. Her current suit's good, but an upgrade would be cool.
