SUPERGIRL Casts Former TRUE BLOOD Actress As DC Comics Villain 'Livewire'

Yesterday, we found out that several DC Comics characters would be appearing over the course of Supergirl's freshman season on CBS - including 'Red Tornado', 'Sam Lane' and 'Livewire'.

We recently learned that 'Leslie Willis' a.k.a. 'Livewire' would be one of a number of DC Comics characters headed to CBS' Supergirl next fall. Now Variety have revealed that former True Blood actress Brit Morgan as the electrifying villainous character. Described as a 'confident, abrasive and funny shock-jock who works for Cat Grant's CatCo Media', Leslie will undergo an accident that 'makes her as dangerous and shocking as her words'. Pun-believable!

Per Variety, Morgan is set to guest star in an upcoming Season 1 episode. Hopefully she won't just be a 'freak-of-the-week' style villain though - The Flash has proven audiences are far more fond of recurring rogues. What do you think of Morgan's casting? Is she a good fit? Sound off below!

Awesome! I loved Livewire in Superman TAS and think she will make a great "live action" villain for Supergirl.

I'm not too excited about Supergirl but at the same time I was hesitant about Flash too so who knows it could be good. I'm definitely excited to know Livewire is gonna be on the show.

i can see history repeating itself here. i have a strong feeling this show will impress people the way The Flash did. Its not uncommon here to see people repeatedly bashing stuff and then biting their own shit afterwards. i can see the same thing happening.. i myself am not too excited about it, i am just waiting for it to surprise me and i know for a fact that it will. We have some good talents behind this and a better budget and a better network, things will only get better. hoping it succeeds.

and The lead, Melissa Benoit is a far more tested and better actor then Grant. I love Grant and his Flash, he is awesome in it, but he nearly was in nothing before he was The Flash and look what he is now, he went into good hands and under good direction he is The Flash we love. So why doubt Supergirl?. I agree the 1st trailer was ummm.. unattractive but please guys don't decide on just a trailer, we all know how things changes. all im saying is, Supergirl may not be the best or even average Cbtv show or it may surpass the tip of the mountain, we do not know. So please don't bash and spit on it like its impossible for it to be good.

So trashy and dark and mentally effed up, hope she adds some of those characteristics to Livewire.

One of my favourite True Blood scenes was where Anna Paquin beat the crap out of her
