With Malina Weissman, who played young Kara Danvers during the first two seasons of Supergirl, currently busy filming the next season of Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the CW has decided to recast the role for an upcoming flashback-heavy hour of the hit superhero series that will shine a spotlight on the relationship between the Danvers sisters.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Izabela Vidovic (The Fosters, Wonder) has been enlisted to play young Kara while TV Line reports that Olivia Nikkanen (The Americans) will play young Alex. The duo are set to make their series debut in episode six, which is titled "Midvale."

The episode will follow present-day Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) as they embark on a road trip back to their childhood home, where they revisit a high school murder mystery that helped shape the foundation of their relationship. Huh, oh well, that trailer honestly was pretty good for season 3, I like when a hero has a conflict iver what it means to be the hero and stand up for something and be their civilian identity

The first season was off to a pretty decent start, especially with Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant but season 2 was to me just an unsettled 50/50. Mainly, I didn't like how they were handling Jimmy aka "James" Olsen. And with how the season 2 finale was, I didn't see anything spectacular and said to myself "I'm done". All and all, I'm glad that its been renewed for a season 3, and those that continue to watch, hopefully it'll be better than the previous season.
