After an awkward dinner with Mon-El's parents, next week's action will put Kara in another bad situation when someone places a very big bounty on her head, meaning she's going to have to fly all over National City taking down baddies left and right. Meanwhile, J'onn receives a very peculiar order from President Marsdin, played by returning special guest star Lynda Carter.

Kevin Smith returns to direct his second episode, following the well-received "Supergirl Lives" earlier this season.

Check out the new extended promo for episode seventeen, titled "Distant Sun," below:

Last episode was weak as f*ck.
CW is not doing a good job, CBS was better, eventhough the vfx sucked ass...

@Doomsday8888 - Supergirl was hands-down the best superhero TV series when it was airing on CBS. Great show to watch for people of all ages, my kids loved it. Good FX for TV, solid writing, keeping J'onn J'onnz under wraps for several episodes was genius, and the awesome build-up to the season finale with Non was well-executed. Now at the CW, the writing has gone down the toilet as the writing is geared for the 18- to 35-year-old audience that CW targets, sprinkled with a lefty political agenda. My kids don't find the show fun anymore. Neither do I.

I like the charm of the show but man, it shoves the liberal right down your throat. I get it, girls are smarter, faster and stronger than men. And of course, the Martian Manhunter needs her protection.

Betting the bounty was done by Rhea or Lar Gand. This episode will just escalate further the Daxam family's tension.

If only there could be a Lobo silhouette cameo at least to show that he was planning on pursuing the bounty as well next week and that would enough for me until they can get to animate him for Season 3.

Very curious about what will be J'onn's task.

NOPE!! Now im done with supergirl it's lost all its heart and I'm getting sick of "certain "superhero getting beat up and made weak and being placed there to be yelled at and someone to go to to tell all your problems..... I said I was done with flash too if Legends don't get it together I'm done with them too
