SUPERGIRL: Everybody Panics In The New Promo For Season 3, Episode 16: "Of Two Minds"

So, Sam (Odette Annable) finally knows that she and Reign are one and the same and while the coming weeks will undoubtedly see Lena (Katie McGrath) attempt to separate the two entities, it looks like that may be easier said than done, especially with the third Worldkiller arriving much sooner rather than later.

Next week, Pestilence will strike and put both Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) in grave danger, which will force Kara (Melissa Benoist) to work with Imra (Amy Jackson) on a very risky mission to find a way to stop the seemingly unstoppable Worldkiller. Plus, it looks like Imra will finally tell her that she failed at stopping them in her future, which is certainly not good news for Supergirl.

Watch the new promo for episode sixteen, titled "Of Two Minds," below:

"Of Two Minds" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

SUPERGIRL AND IMRA MUST WORK TOGETHER TO STOP THE THIRD WORLDKILLER - Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Imra (guest star Amy Jackson) have different ideas on how to stop the third Worldkiller, Pestilence. However, when both Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) are seriously injured by Pestilence, Supergirl and Imra team up to stop the destruction. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn (#316). Original airdate 4/30/2018.

Kind of a meh episode, wasn't really interested in much of what was going on. Kara's reasons for being upset with Mon-el were LAME!!! Seriously, she's upset about his actions BEFORE they started dating in season 2? Jesus, cringey AF and it made Kara look like a total b*tch. EXTREMELY weak writing and reasoning.

The stuff with Jonn and his father was- ehh. I think the idea of it is fine but in an episode that already was filler, it just seemed like a waste. The focus of these episodes should be on Reign and the world killers.

A solid episode all around from the heartbreaking scenes where Samantha is forced to come to the facts that she was Reign, Odette Annable delivered that well. I liked how Jimmy’s advice ended up helping Lena find the right way to make Samantha face the truth. For a moment I thought Lena was really going rogue on her. Sweet moment at the end shared between Lena and Jimmy.

Lena and everyone soon will have to keep Ruby for real away from her.

The scenes with M’yrrn and J’onn were touching. And so was that quote about dealing with people that have the decease of dementia: “the father becomes the son and the son becomes the father”. Carl Lumby really makes you feel for his character and David Harewood as well in J’onn’s position of feeling without help in this.

Loved what Mon-El brought in this week. The Legion flight ring’s camera texh (reminded me to the ghost images from Nora Allen’s murder in The Flash) and they weren’t kidding about the cape tricks. The bullfighter style fits Mon-El very well since he is the only Legionnaire that has a cape, the whole idea of using the foe’s strength and momentum against themselves is cool and it can also tank missiles.

The ring also helps in protecting his mind from M’yrnn prayers. They have made a good job in making them come handy.

It really is starting to feel that Kara and him are finally finding their footing and settling on a good friendship or bond that is better than the last time as they try to move forward. M’yrrn’s psychic anomalies helped because Kara is always juggling between Kara Danvers and Supergirl so she compartmentalize and buried a lot of Mon-El’s recklessness back then when she and everyone where trying to help him get used to his new world. Not a good thing to cover that up all the time, it has to come out.

I really hope they keep up the cape tricks from Mon-El coming and show how Kara performs with that when she goes up against Reign again.

I wonder if M’yrrn will now stay at the DEO. And it seems that dark forest is the place where Samantha’s consciousness goes when she switched into Reign.

Next week can’t come sooner.

What happened to this show? It was a fun show up until this season, and went downhill fast. Did they get new writers or showrunners? Because I find it virtually unwatchable now. The writing makes me cringe so hard, I rarely finish an episode.

@rabid - yeah this season has pretty much fallen apart since the big Kara/Reign fight half a season ago. The difference between season 2 and 3 is quite significant. Its largely unwatchable at this point, cringey AF with horrible dialogue and writing. Luckily I do other stuff while watching the episodes, otherwise I'm not sure I'd be able to get through them.

Really enjoyed this episode, especially how they handled certain plot points, like MM's father.
