SUPERGIRL: First Official Image Of Mehcad Brooks' James Olsen Suited Up As The Guardian

It was yesterday that we learned Supergirl's James Olsen is going to become the vigilante known as The Guardian, and it's fair to say that he looks a lot different than expected in this first official image.

Now that his budding relationship with Kara has come to an end, what's next for photographer James Olsen in Supergirl? The Girl of Steel has found her feet as a superhero and no longer really needs his help and guidance, so Superman's best pal is now going to suit up as a vigilante. The first details about that were revealed yesterday, but The CW has today released the first image of him as The Guardian.

"James Olsen takes on the mantle of the classic DC Comics hero, Guardian," the Supergirl producers said in a statement. "With his trademark shield intact, James will fight to protect National City alongside Supergirl." Interestingly, he'll be keeping his new job a secret from the hero, but Winn is going to help him fight crime as a sidekick of sorts. What do you think of this take on the vigilante?

DCEU Deadshot meets Diggle. What crime is he going to be stopping in National City that Kara can't handle in a fraction of the time?

I actually think jimmy Olsen is a great character so why make him the guardian? And as we learned from more Arrow, more heroes doesn't make a show better. Focus on supergirl and Martian man hunter.
