The CW has released a new poster for the upcoming fifth season of Supergirl, which is set to return to our screens next month. Get a new look at The Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) and friends right here.

Supergirl is set to fly back onto our screens on October 6th for its fifth season, and The CW has now released a promo poster which gives us another look at Melissa Benoist's (congrats on the wedding!) Girl of Steel in her new duds.

The poster also features the likes of Brainy, Dreamer, Martian Manhunter and Lena Luthor, who will take another step closer to becoming a villain when the show returns. 

We don't have a synopsis for the season 5 premiere yet, but the recently released trailer should give fans a pretty good idea of what to expect.

cool poster , this show's season 1 was ok , season 2 & 3 were straight up garbage but season 4 was kinda cool which is weird when you see flash , arrow & lot seasons 4 .. i think its because she had no love interest. plus lex was really cool. the only weak part was the jimmy storyline ; i'm so glad he is leaving the show , his sister gonna be boring i can feel it but at least she can date alex lmao , hope to see some small crossovers with batwoman like flash & arrow back in the day

Supergirl is a pretty decent show on all levels, besides Brainiac. That is literally the worst page to screen interpretation I have ever seen

lol ok three things

1. Say what you will about DC television but I'm sure we can all agree there are aspects to it that we can say we wish WB should have incorporated into the DCEU. DC television has had at least 3 "Avenger" style events while the movies have only had 1.

2. is it me or is it something off about the way supergirl looks Idk if its a new hairstyle or what but she looks...different lol

3. The ending of that trailer was weird lol.

i gave up on this show once i realize kara just had no flaws what so ever and it just made heard uninteresting as a character

@TheDoctor1225- I agree, really hope we get more fallout from Brainy rebooting, evil Brainy was terrific and was portrayed so freaking well.

Hoping that season 5 continues the energy and quality that was season 4!!

I like that her new suit more closely resembles that of her cousin, making them feel more related. The CW DC universe has been killing it lately. I can't wait for the new season, and for the Crisis event. So wondering how that is going to play out and how much it is going to change things.
