SUPERGIRL Is Coming To The CW Sooner Than Expected (But There's A Catch)

No, we're not getting season two sooner than expected! However, if you missed the first season of Supergirl when it aired on CBS, The CW will be airing it again before it debuts in October...

The CW announced today that they will be airing the first season of Supergirl this August starting on the first of the month. Two episodes will air back to back on Monday night from 8pm in the build up to the season two premiere in October. That should give you the perfect opportunity to catch up or even check out the series for the very first time if its move now has you intrigued about what to expect.

Despite having a few rocky patches here and there (usually in regards to its romantic subplots, something it already has in common with Arrow and The Flash), Supergirl season one had some amazing moments and Melissa Benoist did great work as the Girl of Steel. There's room for improvement when it comes to the big bad, but the show's move will hopefully address that.

Season two of Supergirl is currently set to premiere on The CW on October 10th, later this year.

"Supergirl" is an action-adventure drama based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, Superman's (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents' help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant. She works alongside her friend and IT technician Winn Schott and famous photographer James Olsen, who Grant just hired away from the Daily Planet to serve as her new art director. However, Kara's days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw, head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

I swear if she wasn't as hot as she is with a form fitting suit, this show would have no chance. Please turn good please turn good. It has a chance. Slight but it does!
