Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) is going deep undercover next Monday when she begins to investigate a secretive new group cult that's been getting quite popular in National City due to the leader (Chad Lowe)'s shocking connection to the Girl of Steel.

Meanwhile, things don't look like they're going so well for Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) as we catch a look at Kara comforting her sister after presumably learning about Maggie not wanting children. There are also a few shots of this season's big bad Reign (Odette Annable) as we see her in her office chatting with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).

Check out twenty-two new promotional stills from episode four, titled "The Faithful," below:

CHAD LOWE GUEST STARS - Kara (Melissa Benoist) investigates a secretive new group whose leader, Thomas Coville (guest star Chad Lowe), has a mysterious connection to Supergirl. Meanwhile, Samantha (Odette Annable) feels like she's letting Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay) down, and J'onn (David Harewood) confesses an old secret. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Katie Rose Rogers (#304). Original airdate 10/30/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

I actually think so far season three is the best. We have a good villain in Reign that isn't just a generic conquerer, some good episodes very early on, and them doing outside of the box episodes like this.

I tried, I tried, I TRIED liking this series...but it is so damn political it makes me sick. I read/watch comic books to get away from reality and this show is way too bleeding heart liberal for me to stomach.

@chris173abn - I haven't watched season 3 yet but I have followed the show through season 1 and parts of season 2. At what point does it get political?
