SUPERGIRL: Kara Has A Big Problem In New Photos From Season 4, Episode 17: "All About Eve"

With Lex Luthor finally unleashing the Red Daughter, Kara's going to have a major problem on her hands this Sunday when her doppelgänger quickly destroys her reputation and makes her Public Enemy #1!

While she seems to be carrying a cake in some of these new photos, the Girl of Steel's (Melissa Benoist) weekend doesn't look like it'll be particularly enjoyable when her Red Daughter doppelgänger begins to cause chaos all across the United States, including a damning attack on the White House that Kara's going to have to answer for.

The hour will also see James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) come home and reunite with his sister Kelly (Azie Tesfai) while Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) spends some quality time with his son George (Graham Verchere) - although they do seem to have their own crisis on their hands.

SUPERGIRL FACES HER BIGGEST CHALLENGE YET - Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must deal with the destructive aftermath of Lex's (guest star Jon Cryer) nefarious plans. Shocked at what Lex has created, Supergirl faces her biggest challenge yet. Ben Bray directed the episode with story by Gabriel Llanas and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers & Brooke Pohl (#417). Season three saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.

Honestly I prefer the villains of this series to the heroes. I found Ben Lockwood's descent into villainy really sympathetic, Lex is quickly becoming one of my favourite arrowverse villains and I think that Red Daughter is a better character than the CWs Supergirl. I know it's to easy to judge, but in just one episode I felt more simpathy for her than for Kara in all the show, Kara always seems too clean and too perfect, even her imperfections seem akin to the "imperfections" of a romcom character. Instead, red daughter, with just one episode seems like a more well rounded person.

Also I couldn't care less about James Olsen, Alex and the crew. Martian Mahunter (and this pains me to say it cause I love him outside of this) is meh at best and the only one I really enjoy is Brainy.

They cast well that woman who I assume is Eve's mother.

How lucky that Lockwood wasn't in the Oval Office when Red Daughter raided it.

Looking forward to how Kara works out in cleaning her image. They've said too that in this episode J'onn will start to deal with the aftermath of "killing" Manchester Black so whatever inner struggle he's carrying now should pour if he runs into Red Daughter.
