While we expect Samantha (Odette Annable) to eventually descend into darkness and embrace her true origin as the world-breaking Reign, it looks like we'll have to wait a few more weeks as next week's installment will instead shift the focus to Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), who finds herself in a very sticky situation when Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar) accuses her of giving the children of National City lead poisoning.

The CW has released a ton of new photos from the episode featuring a look at Kara (Melissa Benoist) teaming up with her future adversary to find a way to clear Lena's name, but as it turns out, it's not particularly easy clearing a Luthor's name. Meanwhile, it looks like Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) may be heading toward some serious heartbreak.

Check out sixteen new promotional stills from episode five, titled "Damage," below:

"Damage" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)

MORGAN EDGE SETS HIS SIGHTS ON LENA - When multiple children get sick from lead poisoning, Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) points the finger at Lena (Katie McGrath) and blames her creation of the lead bomb she made to save National City from the Daxamites. While Lena knows she never intended any harm, she fears there may have been a flaw in her design, leaving her responsible. Kara (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Samantha (Odette Annable) to clear Lena's name, but it turns out to be harder than they thought. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) make a crucial decision about the future of their relationship. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Cindy Lichtman (#305). Original airdate 11/6/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.
