SUPERGIRL: Lena Luthor Lands In Hot Water In The New Promo For Season 3, Episode 5: "Damage"

After getting our first look at Reign's costume earlier today, tonight's episode finally gave us our first look at what Odette Annable will eventually look like as the worldkilling villain and it looked pretty darn creepy.

Next week's episode will shift the focus ever so slightly as Lena Luthor comes under fire after children across National City begin to get sick from lead poisoning, which may or may not have been the direct result of her lead bomb from last season. With Lena looking at dire consequences, it's up to Kara and Samantha to team-up and clear her name, but that may be easier said than done.

Watch the new promo for episode five, titled "Damage," below:

"Damage" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)

MORGAN EDGE SETS HIS SIGHTS ON LENA - When multiple children get sick from lead poisoning, Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) points the finger at Lena (Katie McGrath) and blames her creation of the lead bomb she made to save National City from the Daxamites. While Lena knows she never intended any harm, she fears there may have been a flaw in her design, leaving her responsible. Kara (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Samantha (Odette Annable) to clear Lena's name, but it turns out to be harder than they thought. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) make a crucial decision about the future of their relationship. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Cindy Lichtman (#305). Original airdate 11/6/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

Supergirl features:

@Krav - Dang. One of the reasons why I stopped watching the show was the treatment Jimmy started getting after season 1.

I checked out on this show midway through season one and haven't looked back. The other CW shows have they're flaws but are by and large solid, fun, and entertaining. This show just blows ok so many levels. I don't regret my decision.

@Supercat6376 - Season 2 is when it really picks up. I completely skipped Season 1 and I feel like I didnt miss anything. Its actually gotten a lot better.

Really liked this episode!
Wonder why... :P

I love Rao from the comics, because i really like Krypton's culture, he only showed up in a handful of comics in 80 years, but it's enough for me...

So when i heard that...they wanted to make this Rao cult...well i was veeery skeptical, but in the end, it was nothing.

The episode actually takes a page from the Superman comics, maybe even more than one.
Te whole thing made sense, and i thought they'd tie everything with Reign, but they didn't.

Maybe there's still hope for this series, the writing isn't bad as S2, it's not great either, but at least i can take it! :P

Can't wait for the "Krypton" tv serie tho!

People complaining about Reign's costume should definitely watch this episode. The ending was a pretty good indicator of how she'll actually look.
