Next Sunday's Supergirl looks to be an eventful hour as Kara (Melissa Benoist) finally squares off with her Red Daughter doppelgänger in a showdown for the ages, which should set the stage for Lex Luthor's (Jon Cryer) eagerly-waited return in the season finale.

Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) enlists her mother's (Brenda Strong) help to find a way to save James (Mehcad Brooks) from the Harun-El while Alex (Chyler Leigh) begins to realize there are some gaps in her memory.

The photos also seem to reveal that both Brainy (Jesse Rath) and Nia (Nicole Maines) will be captured by Agent Libery (Sam Witwer) and it'll be up to the Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) to save them.

"Red Dawn" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) realizes she's missing parts of her memory, and Brainy (Jesse Rath), Nia (Nicole Maines) and J'onn (David Harewood) set out to track down aliens who have been abducted by Lex. Alexis Ostrander directed the episode with story by Lindsay Sturman and teleplay by Gabriel Llanas & Eric Carrasco (#421). Original airdate 5/12/2019.

Season three saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.

Supergirl features:
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen/Guardian
Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers
Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott
David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor
Jesse Rath as Querl Dox/Brainiac 5
Sam Witwer as Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty
Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer
April Parker Jones as Colonel Haley
David Ajala as Manchester Black
Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves

I think Brainy and Nia willingly let themselves be captured to follow the trail to what they have done and stored the DEO desert HQ aliens.

I also believe the Kara that is talking to J'onn might be Red Daughter. Maybe after the "epic fight" they are teasing (which hopefully lives up to the hype) she usurps Kara's place to cause further damage. Although by then it would be a good time for J'onn to mind read her.

I think Lena is trying to make a deal with Lockwood and it might involve the vial of Harun-El he had at the end of last episode, perhaps giving him the most calibrated dose that is in Jimmy's blood. If she is going to Lillian, again, it must be to make sure Jimmy doesn't die if extracting it could endanger his life and she obviously can't let that happen after she saved him with the very same thing.

And I am gonna sit back and wait for yet another AmerTek reference. :)

Can't wait for Sunday.
