The second season of Supergirl opened with one very big introduction: Superman!

After a summer chock-full of teases, The Man of Steel, played by Tyler Hoechlin, finally paid a visit to his cousin Kara and the residents of National City. Next week, he continues his two-episode guest spot as a new kryptonite-powered villain named Metallo starts to wreak havoc across town. Elsewhere, in Kara's home life, she finally meets her new boss, Snapper Carr. Check out TWO new extended promos below:

"The Last Children of Krypton" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)

IAN GOMEZ STARS AS SNAPPER CARR - CADMUS attacks National City with a kryptonite powered villain who ends up seriously hurting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) blames Hank (David Harewood) because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara's first day at her new job doesn't go as planned after she meets her new boss, Snapper Carr (guest star Ian Gomez). Glen Winter directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Caitlin Parrish (#202).

The hour-long drama centers on Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Do i like this series! :D
I loved that Premiere, so full of joy, and i LOVE joyful things :)
Yeah sure it's cheesy, but c'mon guys, it's aimed to a different target, very teen and very female-oriented, and most of you don't fit in this category!
And i'm not saying that you can't enjoy this show unless you don't fit in this target, hell no, i'm the prime example!
But...that's one reason, if not the MAIN reason, why some of you just don't like Supergirl.
That being said: up up and awaaaaay!

Good premiere episode. I like the way they write Hoechlin's Superman. I wish they would write Cavil's this way also. I still have a little problem with his uniform, it reminds me of the Injustice Superman uniform. Overall pleased and enjoying Supergirl.

I knew Tyler Hoechlin was going to be great since Teen Wolf. He's has that natural born leader look

And I wasn't sold on Tyler until the premier though. It was very believable.
