Following its universally acclaimed freshman season, Superman & Lois returns on January 11 with a second season that promises to be considerably bigger than anything we've seen before.

With the story expected to pick up in the immediate aftermath of season one, it looks like Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) will have some major issues to work through as they adjust to their new normal, which involves the unexpected arrival of Lois' multiversal daughter Natalie Irons (Tayler Buck).

While not much is known about the season just yet, it will feature a number of familiar faces behind the camera as Arrow vet David Ramsey returns to direct episode two, "The Ties That Bind;" while Mighty Morphin Power Rangers alum Amy Jo Johnson helmed episode six, "Tried and True," and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Elizabeth Henstridge has been tapped to direct episode seven, "Fallout."

Elsewhere, The Flash: Armageddon comes to a close next Tuesday with its fifth chapter, and based on the promo and photos, it looks like we can expect some major twists and turns as Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) returns and Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) makes her way to S.T.A.R. Labs.

Superman & Lois premieres Tuesday, January 11. Stream next day free only on The CW!

They need to give Superman a modern take on his fleischer suit. It looks so much better than the normal suit he uses. So much padding.

Superman & Lois S2:

Looks pretty awesome.

Superman's sensory powers appear to be all over the place for some reason. Reminded me a bit to when Jordan was struggling when he first awoke the super hearing.

Already tension between Anderson and Clark, it all comes down to the subject of loyalty.

Awkward scene Lois walked in with Jonathan and Tegan. XD Could be the reason why she was lecturing Clark about leaving one of the sons alone. I hope we explore as well Tegan's past that was hinted in S1.

Jordan wants to get a taste of being on the ropes as a hero already. If it is because he is concerned about Clark's powers acting up then it makes sense, hence why he says he wants to watch his back.

Steel suit is wrecked, wonder what did it. Ironically as others have already pointed out the damage happened right on the center which is where the S symbol would later go.

John Henry having a warm welcome hug to Natalie is great before the trials of her dealing with his alliance with Superman takes place.

Can't wait to see what happens this time.

The Flash: Armageddon:

That was a crazy timeline, easily one of the darkest one Barry's visited after the one in 2024 in S3. Reverse-Flashpoint throughout specific moments to orchastrate the events of Barry thinking he was going crazy as Despero claimed and all done by Thawne. Biggest shockers were when he revealed that he killed him as a child instead of a teenager like in the premiere and then occupied his place in 2013 to get struck by the lightning to become Flash until the paradox of his death caught up to him in 2031, thus would make Thawne win.

Darhk's scenes with Barry were part of the episode's highlight, more when it focused on their love for their daughters and loved ones.

Couldn't help but notice that Thawne handpicked Ryan Choi and altered his future as well because the way this version of himself carried with was unlike his canon one, a don jon that was the opposite of being the Paragon of Humanity. I hope his suit isn't too far from showing up in the present and I liked his shrinking watch tech.

Really hope Killer Frost and Chillblaine being together was just another flaw like the others were in that reality.

2031 timeline had a lot of easter eggs and teasers: a "lady in red" that requires zero velocity bullets to be stopped (Red Death?), Cisco became head of ARGUS until he ended up killed and that a new Legion of Doom at some point will rise up again around the time Chester and Allegra get together ast he most interesting ones. Sounds like at least two of them were set up in this episode to happen down the road.

The twist that Barry had to run all over the world in order to fix the timeline even if it meant creating the Armageddon that Despero was talking about was brilliant. Managing to escape from Thawne's grasp in the last second with all those effects was awesome.

Really seems that Despero and "Armageddon" were a Trojan horse all along.

Makes sense that if Joe died offscreen that his return is also onscreen as Barry talked to him on the phone.

Can't wait for Part 5 to end on a strong note.

Off-topic: Interesting character that will appear later in The Flash.

https://www.thewrap.com/the-flash-mika-abdalla-cast-tinya-wazzo-apparition/

I was surprised to read that they are actually bringing in a character that belongs to the Legion of Superheroes to the show. Used to think that only a thing such like that could only happen in Supergirl and now in Superman & Lois, so this casting was shocking but in an interesting way.

The description describing her as some kind of meta made me do a double check because it seems that they are tweaking her origin instead of being an alien because that is the case with the Legionnaires but then there's also the fact that they are not changing her name from the comics and it's staying like it is; Tinya Wazzo. That is just literally far from being and totally not a normal name in the 21st century even if we're living now in post-Crisis. So maybe a lot of stuff is being kept under the wraps for Tinya. And if they are giving her a new modern take I just figure it's ok since Winn Schott did go to become a Legionnaire and he doesn't have any super powers, just oneiric tech based from Nura Nal/Nia's dream abilities so it is fine if Tinya here isn't an alien in this version and still has her same powerset. (All Legionnaires in the comics do have powers)

All in all excited to see what he role in 8B next year is, if her powers will become key in helping Iris with her time sickness and if it goes to mean much more in the future of the Arrowverse.

This latest Armageddon episode was probably the weakest episode so far (for one thing, too much time spent in the future with characters that just don't matter and we don't care about), but all of the Barry and Thawne stuff was good. Overall, this is probably the best story arc we have had since Zoom. I'll have more to say once it all ends.

Regarding the best comic book show on tv, Superman & Lois, can't wait for season 2!!

@HeavyMetal4Life - I'm bitter that they set up a "IT WAS ME" monologue moment so perfectly and just let it go.

BTW @KingPatel a little type in your paragraph about Superman & Lois S2, you wrote the wrong actress' name. XD Lois is played by Elizabeth Tulloch not Henstridge who is just directing the 7th episode. :P

Err is to human. xD
