SUPERGIRL Star Jenna Dewan Will Return As Lucy Lane In SUPERMAN & LOIS Season 2

Following a lengthy absence, Jenna Dewan is set to make her long-awaited return to the Arrowverse as Lucy Lane. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, who played Lois Lane's younger sister in Supergirl's debut season, will have a recurring role in season 2 of Superman & Lois

This will actually mark the first time fans will see this iteration of the Lane sisters share the screen. Dewan was last seen as Lucy in 2016, but Elizabeth Tulloch didn't join the DC Universe until 2018 when she was introduced in the "Elseworlds" crossover. Only a handful of Arrowverse actors have showed up in Superman & Lois, with David Ramsey's John Diggle making a brief appearance.

For the most part, the show has been relatively standalone in nature, though we would like to see Mehcad Brooks' Jimmy Olsen make his presence felt given his storied history with the Man of Steel.

Dewan featured in thirteen episodes of Supergirl before leaving to star in FOX series The Resident. As the Arrowverse has essentially been rebooted since her last appearance, it remains to be seen what sort of changes Lucy has gone through since she departed National City.

This is definitely exciting news for fans, and with Supergirl set to conclude after six seasons, it will be interesting to see if any other characters join her. Recently, Melissa Benoist said she would be open to returning to the Arrowverse as the Girl of Steel should the opportunity ever present itself.

Superman & Lois will return to The CW in 2022.

I know some people will hate this, but I’m glad to see some connectivity with Supergirl, and hopefully at some point Kara will finally appear

If anyone from Supergirl, I really never expected her.

Really though Lucy would also be recast

thought it would ignore supergirl completely outside of a possible appearence from melissa

@dracula - makes sense given her relationship to lois. Only one that would make more sense is supergirl (with consideration that the actor playing James Olsen might not return).

@Origame - dont mean the character mean the actor. They already recast Sam

@dracula - true, but that mightve had something to do with that role being expanded to a regular.

who will be the big bad

Brainiac
The Elite
Lex
Intergang

They said no Kryptonians

Superman has a lot of cool villains, but a good amount of them arent big bad material. They tend to work for the big bad like Parasite or Metallo

@dracula - Perhaps Ian Bohen's character, Mitch Anderson who is now the new head of the D.O.D., plans to put to use that school facility that they sent that Smallville High student named Tag who got super speed from exposure to the X-Kryptonite which was teased in S1. He could be doing that in light of how defenseless they were against Tal-Rho's invasion happening right under their noses and wants to train those invididuals to form the D.O.D.'s own "Supermen of America".

The guy in the center is called Outburst and is whom Bohen's character is named after.

He's the new "sheriff in town" at the D.O.D. and if Superman (nor Steel) like the way he's doing things compared to how Sam did it and choose to distant themselves, he could do that.

A very surprising return news this was but I welcome it. I missed her since Supergirl S1 and certainly now will have a much subtantial role away from love triangles.

Expecting some references to the desert DEO base to be mentioned and I'd be surprised if she is not by any chance involved (or torn) between her job as a militant laywer that is possibly being called to work with Ian Bohen's character and taking sides with what her dad and sister believe could happen with the D.O.D. in Mitch Anderson's rule.

But they can't forget either about giving her scenes with Jonathan and Jordan either.
