Like pretty much every other TV series you can think of, Superman & Lois' production schedule was halted by COVID-19, and that means we've had a pretty big gap between that first batch of episodes and the next lot.
Well, the show's return date has been announced today alongside the release of a brand new poster that puts the spotlight on the Man of Steel and Lois Lane. This is classic Superman imagery, and bound to make fans of the comic books very happy.
The series has exceeded expectations in a number of ways, proving to be more cinematic than the rest of The CW's superhero offerings, while also respecting the source material in a fun, vibrant way.
In our review of the Superman & Lois series premiere, we said "The epic Superman series we've been waiting for, Superman & Lois' series premiere is cinematic, bold, and a step in the right direction for the Man of Steel as The CW looks to embrace what makes this character great."
Written by Todd Helbing and produced by Greg Berlanti, Superman & Lois is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and revolves around the world’s most famous Super Hero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent, played by Tyler Hoechlin, and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane, played by Elizabeth Tulloch, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
As you can see below, the series will return to The CW with new episodes on May 18th.
