TV Line is reporting that Tom Felton has joined the cast of The Flash season three as Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects that there's more to Barry Allen than meets the eye. Whether he turns out to be friend or foe in the newly created Flashpoint timeline is yet-to-be seen, but a recent casting breakdown described him as "Barry’s slightly older, slightly geekier contemporary, a guy who is as smart as he is intuitive. As such, this newcomer doesn’t buy Barry’s nice guy routine and sets out to learn what he’s hiding — all while concealing some secrets of his own." Felton will be a series regular and he's expected to make his debut in one of the season's early installments.

Felton is of course best known for his role as the notorious Draco Malfoy in the blockbuster Harry Potter film franchise. His other major credits include Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Get Him To The Greek, In Secret, and Risen. He can be seen next in Stratton: First Into Action, Megan Leavey, and A United Kingdom.

So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Last year, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark matter storm that struck forensic scientist Barry Allen — bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive. But Barry wasn’t the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night. The dark matter also created meta-humans — many of whom have wreaked havoc on the city. With the help of the S.T.A.R Labs team, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon and Dr. Harrison Wells, Barry protects the people of Central City from these powerful new threats as The Flash. Following the defeat of Allen's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash must quickly turn their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but can he actually save his city from impending doom?

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West

I'm happy for him. I worked on a film with him last year and he is a very nice guy, and takes his work very seriously.

Is he a character from the comics or a completely new character? Where's the answer to that.

Interesting.
Did any HP actors make it big besides Radcliffe and Watson?

@Battabing - Clemence Posey, who played Fleur is a big star in a lot of French films, and Harry Melling, who plays Harry's cousin Dudley, has had a good career in live theater.

Other than them, Domhnall Gleeson, who played Bill Weasley in Star Wars The Force Awakens, played one of the films major villians, Captain Hux, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who played Gellert Grindelwald in a couple of flashbacks, has had a lot of movie appearences, like in Twilight and that Mortal Instruments movie, plus he played King Arthur in the cancelled Camelot show.
