Mark Hamill Channels His Iconic Take On The Joker In This Clip From Tonight's Episode Of THE FLASH

We already knew Hamill's Earth 3 version of The Trickster looked very Joker-like, and this clip from tonight's episode of The Flash leaves no doubt that he's channelling his animated take on the villain.

In tonight's instalment of The Flash, "The Present", Barry returns to Earth 3 to recruit Jay Garrick in an attempt to take down Savitar - but first he must help him solve a little Trickster problem.

Some recent set pics and official stills revealed that Mark Hamill's Earth 3 incarnation of the villain seemed to be influenced by The Joker, and when you hear him speak in this new clip it'll leave little doubt that the Star Wars actor dipped into his acclaimed take on The Clown Prince of Crime from the classic Batman: The Animated Series in order to bring this version of James Jesse to life.

BARRY SEEKS HELP FROM JAY GARRICK — With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco (Carlos Valdes) faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Lol... finally people are starting to see this. The first few sentences from Barry Allen in the first Flash episode had me rolling my eyes. I can't watch CW shows anymore.

@ComicsBornAndBred - "To Understand what I'm about to tell you, you need to do something first. You need to believe in the impossible. Can you do that? Good. You see that Red Blur? That's me. That too. There I am again. My name is Barry Allen. I am the fastest man alive. My story is pretty simple. My whole life I have been running. Usually from bullies. Sometimes I escaped. Sometimes I did not. But after that night, I was running from something much scarier. Something I could never explain. Something impossible."

@Kman - this kind of reads like the opening of a short fiction story essay assignment---in a junior high class.

I kind of excuse some of the cheese in the writing but...idk.

My one film professor says that narration is the most VILE THING IN SCREENWRITING lol

@Kman - There was no need for all of that cheesy narration. Show over tell works perfectly here.

I always say Smallville had a great intro to a teen Clark Kent.

It was show over tell

@Kman - They tone down the narrations over time. The intro is all we need.

@Kman - I gave up on S1, everyone I know kept telling me how great it was so I watched their abomination of a time travel story in the finale, and never had any interest in S2. Watched the Invasion crossover and was so bored I couldn't keep from looking at my phone instead.
