Well, with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) out of commission for the foreseeable future, it'll be up to Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) to pick up the slack and what better way to do so than by actually becoming The Flash?

New set photos from the set of the season four premiere, titled "The Flash Reborn," have surfaced online, offering a great look at Wally suiting up to take on a new villain that's decked out in Samurai gear, rumored to be one of Baron Katana's Samuroids. However, the villains are hardly the biggest reveal, that honor belongs to the actual costume Wally is seen wearing as it's not his traditional yellow and red suit but is actually the scarlet red suit that is primarily worn by Barry Allen.

Does this mean Wally has taken up The Flash mantle or is he using simply the suit to ensure the citizens of Central City that their savior is still around and kicking? Guess we'll have to wait till October to find out.

Check out all the new photos in the slideshow below:

Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar.

Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn

The Flash returns with an all-new episode October 10

I hope it's only for an episode or two I really don't like Wally in this show

Give us the REAL versions of wally west and barry allen. Not these two imposters Keiynan Lonsdale and Grant Gustin!

@Kioses - Grant Gustin is a passable interpretation of rookie Flash from his first few years as a speedster. Keiynan...I have to agree with you there. I mean, it makes sense because Joe West, but Keiynan's acting is a little wooden for being an incarnation of the excitable but awkward Wally West we are familiar with.

Pretty intrigued with why Wally is switching from Kid Flash suit to Flash suit.

The Samuroid might be programmed to search for Flash so it might be why.

I need some answers next week at Comic Con.

@NinnesMBC - If all the villains of the city knew the real Flash was gone it would cause chaos. He's probably wearing it to trick them into thinking he's still around.

@Himura - Well remember they don't know Barry's ever coming back. WE know because that's how these shows work. THEY don't because they don't know they exist in a show and one of the last people trapped there was in there for hundreds of years. So as far as they know, they need a new Flash. Not just a body for the time.

@NinnesMBC - I could have sworn Keiynan said he wasn't replacing the Flash. Probably meant he wasn't going to permanently replace him, but it qualifies as a white lie in my opinion.

@MeAreLegend - Or maybe it ties into the plot. Maybe the villains (in this case samuroids are searching for the Barry Allen Flash, so they bait them by having Wally wear his costume.

Also: When are we going to get the costume that Future Flash Costume? Seriously, its 1000x better. Hopefully he gets it when he exits the speedforce but i doubt that the writers are that smart.
