THE FLASH Adds Kausar Mohammed As Fast Track; New Promo For Episode 18: "The Man in the Yellow Tie"

After meeting a new speedster while also reconnecting with an old one, next week's episode will see Barry cross paths with someone he thought he'd never see again. Things are about to get very interesting.

Following tonight's episode, Deadline is reporting that Kausar Mohammed (Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous; Silicon Valley) has joined the cast of The Flash in a recurring role as Dr. Meena Dhawan, a.k.a. Fast Track.

The network is describing her character as "a titan in the scientific community who deftly balances her hunger for envelope-pushing scientific experimentation with a strong moral compass. These qualities lead Dhawan to discover a new way to democratize the gift of super-speed, finally allowing all humankind to reap the benefits traditionally relegated to meta-human speedsters.

But her discovery also sends Dhawan down a path to become something much greater than she ever expected – a heroic allyship between The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Central City’s newest exciting speedster, Fast Track."

Meanwhile, it looks like next week's installment is shaping up to be quite an interesting hour as Barry (Grant Gustin) meets someone he's extremely familiar with: Dr. Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), who seemingly has no recollection of their history.

Check out the new promo for episode eighteen, titled "The Man in the Yellow Tie," below:

"The Man in the Yellow Tie" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

WHEN NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS - With a new speedster in town, The Flash (Grant Gustin) gets much more than he bargained for, meanwhile Cecile's (Danielle Nicolet) powers experience a growth spurt allowing her to aid Team Flash on an entirely different level. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Sam Chalsen (#818). Original airdate 6/15/2022.

I worked with Reverse Flash on The Carrie Diaries. Hes a very cool guy, despite what Barry thinks.

@micvalpro - You really worked with Tom Cavanagh? How much does he 'regret' Yogi Bear?

OT: Kate Bishop cameo seemingly coming in Ms. Marvel as per the first episode’s credits.

Gotta catch up with tonight's episode but I became spoiled and wow, now Barry and everyone really are literally seeing double: one Thawne is locked up at Lian Yu looking weakened (for now) while another and actual-looking alike Thawne that works at Fast Track Labs with Meena. And he wears a yellow tie, hah, now that episode title makes so much sense.

There couldn't be more trust issues if it wasn't possible than ever. Something's gotta give in the last 3 episodes.

It'd be ironic if this Eobard actually ends up playing a role in helping Iris come back from the Still Force. And if he's working there, where is Avery then? This really just opens a lot of questions. Perhaps he is time displaced due to the time sickness that has continued to spread? And if he's here, does that mean Eddie...?

I will post my review later but this twist is one of the best ones in Season 8 since we now have both Tom and Matt playing their own versions of Reverse-Flash at the same time which used to be back in the day just a fan speculation. There can't be an excuse now to not make them share the screen at least once.

I try going back and watching this show once in a while and it's just so so so bad. No doubt Grant G. could kill it as Flash with a bigger budget and more room to work though. He's solid.

This season is finally starting to pick up. SO GLAD they added Meena. Hope they dont screw this up like they did with Godspeed.
