Next week, a new meta named Hazard comes to town with an uncanny ability to give everyone around her bad luck, which results in some hilariously awful things happening to Barry and his S.T.A.R. Labs crew. Meanwhile, Tom Cavanagh will make his first appearance of the season as Earth-2's Harry Wells returns to Earth-1 with an urgent message for Wally West.

Check out the new promo for episode three, titled "Luck Be a Lady," below:

"Luck Be a Lady" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

DC COMICS' CHARACTER HAZARD COMES TO PLAY IN CENTRAL CITY - Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team are hit by a string of bad luck and realize it is the handiwork of a new meta, Becky (guest star Sugar-Lyn Beard) nicknamed Hazard, who has the ability to give others bad luck, while cashing in the benefits for herself. Meanwhile, Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh) returns to Earth-1 to give Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) a message from Jesse. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Sam Chalsen & Judalina Neira (#403). Original airdate 10/24/2017.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

I liked Barry's happy-go-lucky attitude now. Seriously though, what the heck is Caitlin still doing there?? This show backtracks on so much stuff, all the CW series do actually. Caitlin said she was leaving for good last season, and now she's back episode 1...

Stick to your guns, Berlanti and Guggenheim. Kill a main cast member, keep Barry in the Speed Force, shock me!!!

@xfan320 - oh and Thinker is really refreshing so far. Teases at the end of the episodes? Reminds me of season 1 Reverse Flash stuff!

Overall I thought it was a good episode. I still think Flash's freak of the week model has kind of played itself out, but the episode itself was entertaining enough.

Tonight's Flash episode review

Front half of this episode was really strong, back half fell off.

The directing/cinematography in the Opening elevator scene,Breakfast scene, and Runaway car scene were great, as well as Barry collecting the fragments of the explosive.

This episode had the best uses of the Flashes abilities overall.

Iris and Barry's story line was weak as hell. There's no reason for Iris acting as if Barry just left her out of the blue, she knew why he left.

Gypsy is still fine af.

So far this season has been decent, especially once Barry donned the suit in episode 1. I'm really liking that the main villain of the season isn't a speedster finally. Also enjoying that Wally hasn't been acting like a crybaby this season. Happy, confident Wally is the best Wally. There have been a few really cool visual scenes that they've done (like Barry catching the shrapnel, taking apart the car, etc). Showing that Barry really is the fastest man alive is a good move for sure.

Also, that new flash suit is a huge improvement over the last one (which I liked well enough already). More yellow/lightning design mixed in, golden ear pieces are now solid, & the red appears to be a brighter shade as well. I think it's aesthetically much better than Ezra Miller's suit now (tho I suspect Miller's suit will go through some significant upgrades in the coming movies). It's a great suit, especially considering the budget for the show.

To everyone complaining about his suit being like Iron Man's btw (saw those complaints coming a mile away, wow are people predictable), they made it extremely clear that all those tech enhancements were removed from the suit at the end of the episode. I'm sure they were just there for the conflict with the villain of the week & for the comedic aspect (like with the fat Flash & Cisco's frantic explanations for his seemingly pointless additions lol).

Honestly my biggest issue with the episode was how Wally got blasted in that end fight then conveniently just stayed passed out til right after the fight was over. That was fairly ridiculous but not a huge deal. Any other It's Always Sunny fans on here recognize Psycho Pete as the villain of the week btw? Cracked me up seeing him on here. Looking forward to seeing what this season has in store.
