Well, things are starting to get very interesting on The Flash and while DeVoe remains the team's primary target, it would appear as though tonight's ending may have revealed another potential problem that's been brewing on the homefront.

Next week's episode sees Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) take center stage after Team Flash enters DeVoe's pocket dimension and seemingly get taken down one by one, which leaves Dibny with a seemingly impossible decision to make. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) will be the first to pick up on Harry's (Tom Cavanagh) sudden change in behavior while Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will continue to contemplate Breacher's (Danny Trejo) enticing offer.

Watch the new promo for episode eighteen, titled "Lose Yourself," below:

"Lose Yourself" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

RALPH CONSIDERS CROSSING A LINE TO DEFEAT THE THINKER - When Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash find a way to enter The Thinker's lair, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) considers crossing a dangerous line to defeat DeVoe. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is concerned by Harry's (Tom Cavanagh) recent behavior. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#418). Original airdate 4/17/2018.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

The preview for next week looks insane. Team Flash vs the DeVoes and they aren't holding back.

Marize has some sick moves, gave me some White Canary vibes.

A Samuroid got in as well.

And the actress doing as DeVoe/Izzy looked good there.

I think Harry is just getting too ahead with the Cap and with Gideon, not turning into Thawne like most people think. But a loose canon!Harry isn't the best thing either.

I really think Cisco could accept Breacher's offer. He could still be a regular but we could get a longer glimpse at Earth-19 and flesh it out. Find out who was H.R.'s partner and real genius Randolph and know more of Accelerated Man.

It wouldn't be introduced for no reason.

Spotted plot holes in the episode like always, AND black Lightning is the better show this year. Story of 2018

Curious of how they find a way into DeVoe's lair. They didn't find the last meta who is Edwin Gauss (Folded Man) and judging by the summary of 4x19 it might be him the reason why Barry asks for Leo Snart's help.

Then again..."getting into this lair" is likely calculated and forseen by DeVoe as well.

What was that that someone was handing to Barry? Looked like a small trident, design wise.

The biggest mistake this season made was continuously replacing The Thinker actor. They should have just stuck with the original, and only great version.

@HeavyMetal4Life - agreed, and have you been avoiding IW articles? I know I'm trying to, and I'm definitely avoiding TV spots.

Just realized something about the falling scene with Barry.

Terminal velocity: highest velocity that can be attained is by a falling object. Cisco explained it in S2 when Barry first fought E2 Zoom. The drag force to earth from a free fall object equals to zero gravity.

@NinnesMBC - My point being there was nothing Barry could really do in this scenario, specially when it's dark like in the night. He's used his arms to propel himself like in S2 from the Tricksters' exploding toys or save Linda from falling, but doing it with himself so far must be trickier.

Now if a similar thing happens and it is in the day (or maybe not) and this repeats then I will start to fault it.

It's possible indeed that Ralph will kick the bucket here. I also think there are going to be comparisons to when Arrow aired it's own 18th episode of it's 4th year which began very promising but ended up being for many the final straw that broke the camel's back.

But at least if Ralph is dying then it'd be because it was to progress and move forward the plot, not because he was in the way of some toxic fanserviced ship that never should've been a thing to even begin with. And it seems he's ready for it judging by the preview so he's going down without a battle cry.

And also he's a new character of the Season that for better or for worse depending how people here feel about him lately, it isn't like they are off-ing a main lead that has been since the beginning very unceremoniously.

Can't wait overall for next Tuesday.

@NinnesMBC - Without even bringing in Sue? That'd be just harsh.
