THE FLASH Season 5 Will See Star Danielle Panabaker Make Her Directorial Debut
After several seasons in front of the camera as Caitlin Snow, a.k.a. Killer Frost, actress Danielle Panabaker is ready to step into the director's chair for an episode of The Flash's upcoming fifth season.
Fans of the CW’s The Flash saw Danielle Panabaker transform on screen into the metahuman Killer Frost, and now Season 5 will see the star experience a major change behind the camera.
In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Panabaker revealed that she won't just be spending her time on set portraying the character Caitlin Snow, as she will also be stepping into the director’s chair for an episode of The Flash.
Now, as expected, there are no details on the episode she will be directing, but the actress did take the time to express her gratitiude and excitement over the opportunity.
“I am so humbled by this opportunity to utilize everything that I have learned as a storyteller to bring an episode of The Flash to life. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have the chance to work alongside our extremely talented (and vast) team that works so hard to make each and every episode of the show. I wouldn’t be here without the support of my Flash family, and I am so thankful for this opportunity to continue to grow and challenge myself as an artist. “
Danielle Panabaker isn’t the only actress from a superhero TV show to transition into the role of director, as Jessica Jones’ Krysten Ritter tackled that position for an episode of the Marvel and Netflix series. Though, none of that takes away from the significance of this announcement.
