The Flash has confirmed today, at their annual San Diego Comic-Con panel, that the upcoming sixth season big bad will be the DC Comics villain Bloodwork, played by Sendhil Ramamurthy.

Ramamurthy will play a character named Dr. Ramsey Rosso, who is being described as "a genius physician and the world’s leading expert on hematological oncology, Rosso used to work with Caitlin and rekindles their friendship after they are reunited by an unexpected event, but their longtime bond is quickly shattered when the doctor’s desire to defy the laws of nature takes him down a dark path… one that transforms Rosso from an old friend into the most chilling villain Team Flash has ever faced: the monstrous Bloodwork.

The CW has also released the official trailer for season six, showcasing a first look at Ramamurthy as the terrifying Bloodwork.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

Looks better than season 5. I hope this is a year of redemption for Flash.

Another delusional, psychopathic villain, huh? Doesn’t Gotham City have a monopoly on those guys?

Even in the trailer, Barry is already looking to other's to solve his problems.

Huh. I hope they give Bloodwork 2 forms. One monstrous and the other humanoid

@NathimusPrime - During those interviews that the cast gives to interviewers on tables he said that the cowl would be the most different that he would wear, so it could come with the chinstrap.

Meh, doesn't do much for me. Outside of the Crisis tease, I thought this was an underwhelming trailer. Cicada's tease was better than Bloodwork's.

At this point, I've been burnt so many times by the worst show in the Arrowverse that I'll probably only be watching the Flash through Crisis.

For the first time I don't know what to expect but I like that feeling.

Apparently Bloodwork will serve as the first villain, with agency, then in the 2nd half someone else will be. Fandom is already speculating that Rosso is going to go Frankenstein doctor and will create his Frankenstein monster that Team Flash will have to stop post Crisis. I like the sound of that if that is what is at work. His monologue was also good and can't place my finger of what is his endgame with “curing death”.

And in the panel they said as well that Wally will be back and he and Barry will face off against “one of Flash's greatest enemies”. Thawne? Anyway I hope they do live up to it and bring him back because they could not last Season and it is as series regular.
