Just hours after it was reported that Reaper creators Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas were hired as showrunners, ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee acknowledged the potential Agent Carter TV drama today at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “In terms of Agent Carter, the script's come in,” he confirmed. “It's a really good script, written by [Christopher] Markus & [Stephen] McFeely,” who scripted both Captain America: The First Avenger & The Winter Soldier. “So that one certainly has a chance to be on the network,” he added. The Hollywood Reporter makes note that Paul Lee also confirmed Hayley Atwell will definitely be a part of Agent Carter, however, the potential Marvel series is only in development and has yet to be ordered to pilot.

IGN also caught up with Tara Butters, who confirmed her and Michele Fazekas' involvement on Agent Carter. “We’d be coming on as showrunners and being a part of the series,” she said. “We’re very excited to be included in the Marvel family and to be a part of ABC Studios.” Whether the period setting was an appeal for her, Butters answered, “Absolutely. It’s one of the things that drew Michele and I to the project, because she’s such a strong, wonderful character if you’ve seen the [Marvel] one-shot and we’re just very happy to be involved.” When it was mentioned that Butters' husband, Marc Guggenheim, is an executive producers on The CW's Arrow, she declared, “We’re a Marvel/DC family. We’re all inclusive!” What do you think?

I dont think this is really needed, but if they go ahead with this i still wouldnt mind as well. If they did this show it would cool if they showed the original invaders, maybe an arc that involved the winter soldier, a cameo of hank pym from the 60s, young nick fury. It would be cool if they did a blade series.

Nobody wants this show. Don't need two SHIELD shows! Now, if they wanted to do a story on AoS where we saw Carter, Stark & friends started SHIELD

The writers who worked on CA:TFA and CA:TWS? Yes please! This show is really shaping up to be great.

Wow, her husband is Marc Guggenheim? Ha ha, that's an interesting coincidence.

You're "comedy" arrived. It was WB's announcement for their film. Was that enough humor for you? Don't confuse your opinion with fact.

As much as I like this actress, why waste their money on a period piece show that runs the risk of flopping? Just focus on the heroes, we don't need to see anymore Agent shows (Agents of SHIELD is enough).
