ABC and the now-defunct Marvel Television have officially announced today that Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for its seventh and final season on Wednesday, May 27 at 10:00 - 11:00 p.m. EST.

The new season will pick up shortly after the events of season six, as "Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are thrust backward in time and stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, the team must hurry to find out exactly what happened. If they fail, it would mean disaster for the past, present and future of the world."

While numerous film and television productions have been shut down indefinitely across the globe, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to wrap its thirteen-episode final season last summer after scoring an early renewal in late 2018.

With Marvel Television closed for business and its remaining assets having been transferred to Marvel Studios, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. marks the end of a ten-year era of Marvel TV and will serve as the final Marvel series (excluding Helstrom) to not be set explicitly within the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

All future Marvel television productions will be produced by Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios and for now, are expected to be made available exclusively for Disney+. Currently confirmed upcoming Phase 4 and Phase 5 series include The Falcon and the Winter SoldierWandaVisionLoki, What If...?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.

People keep saying that Marvel Netflix obviously isn't canon but people don't really say the same about AOS. Maybe it's harder to do so because of the guest stars?

@Nightwing1015 - I consider Marvel Netflix to be canon seeing how it makes references to the events of The Avengers. The movies may not mention the shows but the shows mention the movies. Plus, we had Jarvis from Agent Carter cameo in Endgame so I guess Marvel TV is canon.
