Another photo from the set of Daredevil: Born Again has been shared online, and this shot provides an awesome new look at Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock alongside co-star Nikki M. James...

As filming continues on Marvel Studios' Daredevil: Born Again in New York City, another photo from the set has found its way online, and this latest shot gives us a much better look at star Charlie Cox as he dons the signature shades of crusading attorney Matt Murdock.

Cox was snapped shooting a scene with co-star Nikki M. James (The Book of Mormon), who appears to be playing a colleague of Matt's.

There's already some speculation that she may have been cast as a gender-switched take on Foggy Nelson, but we can't see them straying that far from the previously established canon when so many other actors are returning.

Still no sign of Cox suited-up as the Man Without Fear, but security will likely be a lot tighter for any sequences involving the Daredevil costume, which is rumoured to have undergone a redesign since we last saw the character in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

We'll be sure to update if and when any more revealing pics are posted.

Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle) are also set to reprise their respective roles from the now defunct Netflix shows. New cast members include Michael Gandolfini, and Sandrine Holt.

Most of the new characters remain under wraps, but we recently learned that Holt will play The Kingpin's wife, Vanessa Fisk.

The 18-episode epic will be loosely based on the '80s Marvel Comics series of the same name by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli, but is not expected to be an overly faithful adaptation. Despite some significant changes to the story, "Daredevil versus Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, remains the focal point."

Matt Corman and Chris Ord are on board as writers and executive producers. No premiere date has been announced, but the show is expected to bow in the spring of 2024.

Curious to know who Miss James is playing. Any Daredevil comic book fans got any ideas? Possibly an OC?

@RitoRevolto - Oop. I may have found my answer through that twitter link. The internet strikes again.

@RitoRevolto - Gloria Grant is as good a guess as any, I suppose. Not really any info about even the plot to make any more of an educated guess than that.

@RitoRevolto - Nikki M. James could play Kirsten McDuffie. She is the assistant district attorney in San Francisco and she suspects that Matt is Daredevil, although he never admits that.

I hope that the suit leaves the gold/yellow behind, is a deeper red and I wouldn’t mind a little

Since I am going all Christmas wish list, I would love it to still be armored but for the surface to look smoother and sleeker, more like it does in the comics but my biggest ask is the color. It should be more red, less brown-toned but not Superman or Iron Man red. Thanks Santa.

@RolandD - I'm 100% with you on this, a deeper red would be on my wish list. Not sure about the DD on the chest though, it always seemed a little on the nose for me.

@hummingbird68 - Of the things I mentioned, it is the least important but I would be okay if it was there, just not too big.

At this point all I want is for them to keep the Foggy actor they did a con together where Charlie said he and Karen were the heart of the Netflix

Id hate for business or something to shaft the actors who has such chemistry

Just waiting for nonsensical outrage when this drops and it’s not connected to the Netflix stuff even though they’ve been telling everyone it wouldn’t be

@ShimmyShimmyYA - they actually haven't been. Closest thing is they are considering it more of a season one rather than a season 4.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - playing the music from the Netflix intro in his appearance on She-Hulk is hardly distancing it from the Netflix show though, plus I've not heard anything of the sort officially

@Origame - because it is a season one of a new interpretation. The cast has said it, feige has said it, etc etc. and tbh I don’t care I just hate when people get blatantly told something but still upset when it turns out what they were told was true

@Cap1 - it’s called a nod. Just like rehiring cox and d’nofrio (butchered his last name probably) is a nod , that’s what people are most familiar with so they played it .
Cap1
Cap1 - 3/19/2023, 12:56 PM
@ShimmyShimmyYA - I'm aware of what a nod is, and it isn't something that overt. Casting two of the same actors most definitely isn't a 'nod'. Just out of curiosity, maybe I've missed it so I'm happy to be wrong, where have they been telling everyone it's unrelated?
Origame
Origame - 3/19/2023, 12:59 PM
@ShimmyShimmyYA - you mean like when Vincent specifically sited examples from the Netflix series to prove his interpretation wasn't inconsistent from the Netflix version?

Also the specific wording was that it's more a season one than a season 4. Implying it can be viewed as a season 4 to some extent.

If she is playing either Foggy or Karen, this show will fail massively.

“In the New York criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important identities: The crime fighter Daredevil, who beats the living shit out of offenders when the law fails the victims, and attorney Matt Murdock, who prosecutes them. This is his story.
