A very brief new teaser for Netflix and Marvel's The Defenders has hit the web, showing the team from the perspective of an elevator camera at Midland Circle Financial. The company name should be familiar to those who watched Daredevil's second season, as it was the operation behind the massive hole in the ground that was dug by The Hand.
The four heroes appear to be catching their breath in the footage, perhaps from being involved in a previously reported hallway fight scene, with Daredevil seemingly protecting his identity with a head scarf (which looks a little humourous when he's standing next to a maskless Iron Fist).
UPDATE: Marvel and Netflix have also launched a viral website for the series in the form of the New York Bulletin. The fictional newspaper details several stories and events surrounding the four individual Defenders' solo shows, along with confirming the release date for the team-up series as August 18, 2017.
Check out the full tease below and let us know what you think!
“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal - to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
