THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Rumored To Introduce The Thunderbolts To The MCU

Take this with a pinch of salt, but a new rumour is doing the rounds which claims that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will finally bring the Thunderbolts to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Check it out.

There have been rumblings for a while now that the Thunderbolts are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (with the stage being set for that in Black Widow), and a new rumour claims that the team could appear in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

As of right now, no details have been shared in regards to how this would happen, but Baron Zemo creating his own team of villains who masquerade as heroes does make sense. Then again, there has been no casting news which would point to characters like Songbird or Mach-IV making an appearance (which could mean they either haven't been cast yet or are just being kept a secret).

Rumours have been swirling for a while now that "Thunderbolt" Ross will assemble the Thunderbolts and that Yelena Belova could be his first recruit. Bucky is definitely another character who would fit in well there. Ultimately, it just depends what direction Marvel decides to take the team creatively.

As we mentioned, this should definitely be taken with a pinch of salt, but it's hard not to get excited about the prospect of finally seeing the team in action in this shared world.

A Long Way To Go For Pizza - Avengers: Endgame

Hulk-Truck

New Asgard is supposed to be in Tonsberg, Norway but, in reality, these scenes were shot in Scotland.

However, Marvel Studios did a poor job of hiding that as the truck The Hulk and Rocket use to reach the God of Thunder has a UK number plate, and the pizza boxes in his house have a British phone number on them as well. Both things are vastly different in Norway so there's no excusing this blatant error even if it is easy to miss.

I honestly people are making educated guesses about this and saying they have inside sources on it.

@MyCoolYoung - lol all the comments on this article have me chuckling but also have me excited for the possibilities. Thunderbolts would have me geeking

@Vigor - lol yeah people are coming with it today but yeah I'm definitely down for the thunderbolts and I'm very curious if Ross will be ref hulk at some point
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 1/20/2020, 5:22 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Exactly. And I think the Thunderbolts concept should be introduced in Black Widow with Ross & Taskmaster.

@SonOfAGif - if Stark cameo I'd guess Ross would as well. If the leaks are true I already know the answer to these questions though

@MyCoolYoung - Ross is confirmed for black widow. He was in the original trailer

To be honest, articles as vague as this usually make me skeptical but the Thunderbolts aren't really too much of a stretch for this series or this universe.

We have Bucky, Zemo, and USAgent confirmed. There's rumors of Songbird,Ghost, Yelena,Abomination, and Ross making appearances. That leaves out Hammer and Taskmaster who could also be members.

@MCUKnight11 - And now we're getting rumors of Belova working with Thunderbolt Ross in Black Widow. Even if it's a guess, I'd say it's right on the money.

@rabid - It's almost a certainty and is supposedly set up in a Black Widow post credits scene...

Go to 6:19 of this video (SPOILERS):

@MCUKnight11 - The Thunderbolts will probably be referenced or have the concept of the team laid out in Black Widow. As it stands the members should be:

Taskmaster
Abomination
Ghost
Black Widow (Yelena)
The Punisher

I would save Zemo for the masters of evil and have the Thunderbolts clash with them
IKidYouNotMan
IKidYouNotMan - 1/20/2020, 11:25 AM
The guy that leaked fat Thor before Endgame said the Thunderbolts would have Zemo, Ghost, Justin Hammer, General Ross and the Abomination on the team.

@IKidYouNotMan - so, it's dark versions of Cap, Vision, Iron Man, and Hulk. Add Bolova and you have a Widow. Voila! The Dark Avengers.

I NEED Hammer back.

@rabid - If the rumors of Ross becoming Red Hulk in Black Widow are to be believed, then that's 2 Hulk characters on the team, with Abomination
ATrueHero1987
ATrueHero1987 - 1/20/2020, 11:40 AM
Well that guy who was spot on for the reports of Avengers Endgame did say that Marvel was planning to introduce The Thunderbolts with the Leader being the villain. Though I THINK he was wrong about his Ant-Man 3 report...

With Zemo and John Walker being used, I already presumed we were heading toward Thunderbolts territory. And didn't Marvel already commission a Dark Avengers script? There's also a rumor that the recent Sony/Disney deal will put Venom in one MCU film. He'd make a great addition to Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers.

That's funny because it lines up with another rumor I just heard about the Black Widow solo movie that ALSO sets up the Thunderbolts in a post-credits scene.

***POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW FOR BLACK WIDOW***

In (one of the two) post-credits scene(s), it shows Yelena and Taskmaster (played by O-T Fagbenle) meeting up with THIS version of General Ross in present-day to talk about the Thunderbolts setup:

Also, the second post-credits scene (idk which order they're in) supposedly shows Hawkeye and his family at Natasha's grave in present-day post-Endgame.

You heard it here first.

@Vigor - Yeah, sorry haha but it was just to back up my claim. Specifically in the first video, skip to like 6:15 for like a minute-long spiel about the post-credits scenes in BW.

Bucky joining this version of the Thunderbolts would make little sense. The MCU Bucky has been pretty different than his 616 counterpart (like most characters), but I can't see how they would change his character to lead a group for the government, especially with how they have set up the relationship between him and Zemo.

cdpacheco89 - 1/20/2020, 12:00 PM
I said this months ago!!! Zemo is not going to be the villain they're probably training him or he will end up in the thunderbolts program or something
KingGrimlock
KingGrimlock - 1/20/2020, 12:04 PM
Also, what about this amazing rumour floating around of Christian Bale being big Norman? Norman's version of the Thunderbolts was above and beyond the best run of that series. Thunderbolts # 110 - 120 by Warren Ellis. If you haven't read it, you probably need to add it to your lists.
Vigor
Vigor - 1/20/2020, 12:55 PM
@KingGrimlock - I haven't read this rumor but I would be completely enthralled by this coming to fruition. This would be perfect casting, if not beyond perfect
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 1/20/2020, 1:29 PM
@KingGrimlock - Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts was awesome! But the series was already fantastic leading up to Norman taking over. When Zemo was still in charge. That series was great for about 2 years straight leading up to the Ellis/Norman Osbourne stuff.

But yeah, Norman taking over and filling the team with straight up evil villains was very cool and much different than Zemo's team that were completely reformed villains who were pretty much doing good things.
