Hawkeye has finished shooting, but a newly surfaced set photo has now offered a first look at Jeremy Renner decked out in a comic accurate purple costume. Now, this isn't that purple costume from the comic books, but it's one fans of Matt Fraction and David Aja's Hawkeye run will surely appreciate.
This is an interesting new look for the archer, and one many fans will agree is long overdue. If nothing else, it seems Marvel Studios is beginning to embrace the looks of these characters in the source material as we head further into Phase 4 (just look at what the Scarlet Witch is wearing these days).
While we're not currently sure where this photo originated, Renner is photographed alongside Echo actress Alaqua Cox. It looks like she might have markings on her face ( it could just be the lighting), but fans of the comics will surely recognise that logo on her chest as being a nod to what Maya Lopez wears on the page.

An official look at Hawkeye hasn't been released yet, but we've had our fair share of reveals in set photos for the Disney+ series (it's been shot on the streets of both New York and Atlanta).
