We're now just under a month away from the premiere of Hawkeye on Disney+, and on the heels of the new poster that debuted over the weekend, Empire has shared another look at Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop.
While speaking to the mag, the Academy Award-nominated True Grit actress revealed that she trained in archery to better prepare for her role as the burgeoning hero, and has since become "quite good."
“Kate is self-taught and it was important to me to take it on myself, to be there by the time we started shooting,” she added. “Kate wants to do good; she has this burning desire to follow in Hawkeye’s footsteps. She’s idolised this person forever and then she finds herself on this wild ride with him.”
Barton will take Bishop under his wing in the show, and the young archer may ultimately take over the Hawkeye mantle and serve as a member of the next incarnation of The Avengers. We don't know if that's definitely part of the game-plan, but we will be seeing a lot of new heroes join the MCU over the next couple of years, so it's certainly a strong possibility.

Hawkeye will also star Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, and Zahn McClarnon. It's been confirmed that Florence Pugh will return as her Black Widow character, Yelena Belova.
