Netflix usually doesn't share viewer-ship data, but we know that
Luke Cage was the 16th most viewed show of 2016 across all platforms. The good news is that even though
Iron Fist doesn't generate higher numbers than the last year's streaming hit, it's getting very close to it. Thanks to third-party analysis we know that the show has surpassed the starting point numbers of both
Daredevil and
Jessica Jones.
It looks like the controversies surrounding the show have helped it in the bigger picture.
Iron Fist also gets a strong support from the fans and good old word-of-mouth, as it's performing better in the longer run than all of the previous Marvel-Netflix show. The show also has a pretty impressive user rating of 5 stars. Time will tell if it's enough to secure the show's second season.
