Thanks to Loki, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to take over Disney+ on Wednesdays.
We're used to seeing the likes of WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier stream on Fridays, but this shake-up is welcomed, and gives us something to get excited about mid-week.
With that in mind, it probably shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that Marvel Studios has chosen today to release a new series of character posters highlighting Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Mobius (Owen Wilson), Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku), and Judge Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw).
A Twitter emoji has also been shared for the series that will work with a number of hashtags, and we can only hope that the release of these is setting the stage for another trailer to be released.
In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 9th, 2021.
