A new episode of Loki season 2 arrives on Disney+ later tonight (or tomorrow morning, depending on your timezone), and Marvel Studios has released a clip featuring the God of Mischief chasing down... Zaniac?
This supervillain was introduced in the pages of Thor back in the '80s as a demonic entity sent to Earth by Dormammu. Zaniac originally possessed a man named Tom Malverne, who would go on to become Marvel's take on Jack the Ripper, Later, he took control of an actor named Brad Wolfe, who gained super-strength and the ability to conjure knives out of raw energy.
As you've probably guessed, Loki's take on the character will be a little different. In the show, Wolfe is the TVA hunter (Rafael Casal) we met in the season premiere, who goes rogue and decides to stay in a timeline where he is a famous actor. Zaniac is the same of his character in a hugely successful sci-fi action movie franchise.
Why is Loki so intent on having a little chat with Wolfe? You'll have to tune in to find out!
The initial reactions to the first four (of six) episodes of Loki season 2 were mostly very positive, and while the full reviews were a little less glowing overall, the show's Rotten Tomatoes score has now climbed to 86%.
