Loki hits Disney+ this June, and a newly revealed piece of promo art for the show teases the God of Mischief's plans to run for President (of what we're not sure, though it could be that he looks to make the TVA his own).
This is a moment that was highlighted in the trailers, of course, while the image below is one that should be familiar to comic book fans.
A recently released synopsis for Loki revealed that the villain will be "forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat."
We still don't know what that greater threat is, but alternate versions of Loki seem likely.
In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 11th, 2021.
